lightningtiger Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 (edited) Here's my country town under construction. Welcome to the entrance of my country town. Hey, what are you doing to my new sports car ?! Shutting down the power. Up goes the new lamppost. Lets do lunch. Comments welcome. Edited December 7, 2009 by lightningtiger Quote
Big Cam Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Loos great! I'm jealous of all your roadplates. I like how you use small objects like the gas pump to hold the plates together in some instances. Quote

I must say that yellow thing holding some plates together is not a gas mains control or pump for that matter. It is the mains electricity control box for the street lights in my town - it has underground power cables. The power has been cut so a new street light can be installed. I will tomorrow post pictures of the improved tyre jack in the Octan Tyre posting. Quote

Whoops. Either weay, the setup looks great, I look forward to more pics. Quote
Rick Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Nice collection of all your MOCs/MODs so far. I like all the little details here and there and the 'action' going on, like that lamppost being put up. Quote
Piranha Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 Looking Good! I really like all the baseplates! Its quite annoying how they package them however Which has been the main reason why I haven't bought any. I like how your town follows the current scale and style of CITY. Quote
LegoLink Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 This is fantastic! I like the use of new city sets and MOCs together, they really match well. those construction trucks look great and all the action gives the display a realistic look. Keep up the good work . LegoLink Quote
MacK Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 This is an excellent set up! I'm building my own town at the moment, and it doesn't look as nice as this mainly due to it's lack of road plates. Your town set up certainly looks the part. Can't wait to see what you add on to it next. Quote
Milan Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 Very nice, and your vehicles are there! But one thing is missing...where is this smiley next to your topic title? Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 16, 2009 Author Posted December 16, 2009 Work is continuing on more buildings in the town, so why am I posting. The town now has a name - NEW MANNUM Sixty or so kilometres from Adelaide is the town of Mannum, in 1840 one of my ancestors came to this small town and set out to help build it (becomming one of it's founding fathers). So in honor of that I shall call my country town New Mannum. The town will have a similar town centre layout and even a river (be that blue base plates when they become available)running past it like the real town. I will be working on more town buildings today (Australian CST). Quote
Col. Brik Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 You are right, the road plates maketh the Town! Wonderful start to New Mannum. I like the attention to detail and the action scenes you made. Brings life to the pictures. Quote
