Admiral Ron Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 So cool! I love the 2 ships and the big fort, good job! Quote
Uvga Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 WOW. Your creation is imazing !!!!!!!! A+++++++ Quote
Scouty Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 That is an epic diorama there! The waves, the town, the fort, and the islanders and the ships are all great. Excellent job here How long did it take you to make?? Quote
Ratshot Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 Nice MOC Unitron6991, you did an excellent job on the shores/land The fort is probably my favorite part. Chow Quote
Zorro Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 Amazing display, I frontpaged it too! I deeplinked some more pictures to your first post, this way we don't have to leave the forum do see more of them. Quote
Forresto Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 I'm not usually in this forum but I have to say congralations. You must be very proud that your diaroma was in the Arkansas Capitol building and frontpaged. Great job on the diaroma! Quote
Ras 74 Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 A very impressive diorama! Great to have it placed in the Arkansas Capitol building as well Quote
Rick Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 That turned out really nice. The fort (aren't those stairs leading into the fort a little unprotected?) and the lighthouse are really nice and the water effect is cool too. On the Islander side, the specialized baseplates are really well integrated in the layout. Quote
CommanderFox Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 A Very nice Diorama Unitron6991 Excellent job with it! I love the small detailes like the waves. The fort looks Fantastic! Really well done with this! CommanderFox Quote
Aeturnus Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 nice work :D .Would love to do a public display like that. Really well done :D Quote
Unitron6991 Posted December 7, 2009 Author Posted December 7, 2009 @ImperialScouts Really don't know have long it took to make. It took several weeks to plan, but that was doing two other displays and homework. Thanks for all your comments! I guess I better post Town and Space... Quote
tedbeard Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 Wow, what's the story on doing such an interesting display? Were you asked to do this by someone? Is it in association with a LUG and/or a special event? What are on the paper clippings on the side panels? I like the background painting(?) It really makes the display come alive. Quote

I was invited after the Capitol Historian saw my display at the Pine Bluff train show last April. There really isn't a LUG except I like to call myself RockLug. The background was not my idea. I think it could have been a little different. The paper clippings are old LEGO ads from the 60's that the Historian printed off of Brickfetish.com I believe. Quote
Derfel Cadarn Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 What a great scene you have created! A nice mix of pirate, soldiers and islanders. Both islands are very eye catching with some great detail, but the thing that stands out most to me are the waves. Very simple, yet very effective! Great work Quote
Sisco Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Finally, another FOL from arkansas! It's lovely to see your excellent MOC made it into the Capital Building! Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Congratulations! Your port is a great success. It turned out very nice with lots of nice elements. I like all the space you left for the water. Great job. Quote
Ratshot Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 This is awesome news. Its not very often that Lego gets this type of attention. Good Job Quote
GingerBreadKid Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Just wondering, but is that the Imperial Flagship beside Brick Beards Bounty? Quote
Guss Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 superb display , really really cool ! I wish I was able to see it for real ! great job on it ! Quote
martinsuper Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 I really like your port! I love building ports myself. This spring Im going to take my apart and rebuild it. I might change my fort in the front as well. I thought about the "two-sided" display like you have, but I just don't have the room for it. I want to eventually make a red vs blue with two ports on each side and a ship battle in the middle. http://www.flickr.com/photos/12213265@N05/...57621850946197/ -martinsuper Quote
