lightningtiger Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 Okay, I have deceided to start doing farm MOC's while still doing my country town ones. Looking at this,, I dont like the feed trough. So in 1 minute I made this.. Another view of this MOC, any comments welcome. By the way if you think of something on a farm you would like to see MOCed, post it and I'll try it. Quote
Rick Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 Much better. I think TLG could have easily made it much better if they would have done it this way, or even least parts-intensive by adding two 1 x 4 x 1 panels of 1 x 4 x 1 (low) fences. Quote
David Thomsen Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 I'm not sure if that's the final version of the impulse set... it just doesn't look right. Your one with sides looks much better. I actually wasn't sure what the official one was supposed to be and thought it was some kind of vegetable patch. Here's something I was thinking of making but will probably never get around to... a crop duster. Quote

I could use a plane from an earlier Indi set and heavily MOD it. I just google crop dusters and dig up the info I need. Thanks "David Thomsen' and 'Rick' for your comments. Quote
Ras 74 Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 So easy, but yet so much better! Will follow your Farm build with joy Tiger Quote
Milan Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 Oh yeah! Very good, and definitely much better than original! Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 8, 2009 Author Posted December 8, 2009 I've been busy again ! Weed sprayer - hey no more weeds ! Cultivator attachment for the 7634 tractor. Comments welcome. Quote
prateek Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Awesome MOD for a set that hasn't even been released yet! I love the No More Weeds and the tractor attachment too Quote
Forresto Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 It looks like someone can't wait to buy his Lego farm sets Anyways great mods and I really love the food trough you made. It's so weird that it only took an easy mod to make the trough look really good! Okay fine not weird. It actually makes sense but Brilliant job on these anyways! Quote
Milan Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Nice ideas, i enjoy following these mocs of yours! Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 9, 2009 Author Posted December 9, 2009 Yes, I've been at it again. Post hole digger. Chain saw (heavy duty). Fertiliser spreading tractor attachment. Seeding add-on to the the cultivator tractor attachment. (can be moved up ward just to cultivate or locked downward for cultivate & seed) Comment very welcome. Quote
DJ Force Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Your MOCs and MODs actually make me want to start collecting and building my own farm! Keep up the great work! Quote
prateek Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Oh my, even more MOCs! I love the chainsaw and the fertalizer spreader. They're so simple yet so awesome! Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 10, 2009 Author Posted December 10, 2009 Thank you everyone for your response, it's fanastic. I put in about an hour to about four hours per design trying to make it as realistic as possible. There is an old saying - 'You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet !' Some industrial level gear will be posted shortly in the same post as you can find this equipment used on a farm as well in workshops and construction sites - hopefully this afternoon EST (+9.30 GMT) I can post my latest thanks to the help of LDD and Goggle. Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 10, 2009 Author Posted December 10, 2009 I'm back and this time like I promised somethings that can be used on the farm or construction site if lifters, cranes or buckets don't work. Hydraulic hose cutoff saw (could be used for steel as well I guess). Hyrdraulic hose crimper (this one is just about my favorite mini-MOC ever) This one is actually based on the hand pumped hose crimper I found on the net. Comments welcome. Quote
Milan Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Really useful hardware! I am using that saw for cutting pipes and steel supports in my weekend house, for various purposes... My suggestion is to get those worker some kind of eye protection ASAP! Quote
Rick Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 The second one is not that recognizable to me (but that's because I don't know the original equipment), but the first one is really well done, I like how you simply added a hinge and created a new tool... very inventive Quote
Ras 74 Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 The first one, the saw, is a very good little moc. Very clever design for sure. In the same range as Hinckleys very good blender. Also like your chainsaw. Could work with red as well to become the famous Swedich Jonsered. Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 10, 2009 Author Posted December 10, 2009 Thank you 'Milan', 'Rick' and 'Res74' for your comments. 'Rick' I have here a small picture to show you what a hose crimper is. Also thanks 'Ras74' for that link, it will be handy for some other MOC machines I'm planning. More tomorrow folks ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 11, 2009 Author Posted December 11, 2009 Just one today. Log splitter attachment for 7634 tractor. Here is a picture of a real one. These are starting to get harder, more ideas for farm gear welcome, oh yeah your comments too, they are always welcome. Quote
Rick Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Nice, now make sure you're not really going to bend that axle Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 11, 2009 Author Posted December 11, 2009 Nice, now make sure you're not really going to bend that axle Yeah, I know I should have used a couple of 2x2 round bricks to be the logs instead - my fault. Thank you for the comment anyway, 'Rick'. Quote
prateek Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 That mitre saw is my new favourite. I aam amazed how these MOCs are so accurate Quote
