BlueBard Posted January 4, 2010 Author Posted January 4, 2010 I see a Daily Bugle on the counter with the titel "Whackers still at large"Could we knew this whackers? A very nice moc. Thanks! Hope you would also like the rest of the buildings About the Daily Bugle there's only one whacker, actually it's a decal LuxorV did for me with and old avatar of Hinckley as a turkey (sorry if I don't post the link but I can't find exactly where he post it ) Quote
BlueBard Posted January 9, 2010 Author Posted January 9, 2010 Fourth building: Tan House (based on a 4954 alternative model by misc2006) Let's pretend it's his birthday As usual the whole gallery can be seen here (flickr) or here (Brickshelf) Hope you like it! Comments are welcome! Quote
Zorbas Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Great as usual! Very nice building BlueBard! It's great that you've added a balcony on the back side of it making the building to look great from both sides. About the piece you used for the lamp next to the couch, is it the round one (a.k.a mysterious liquid) from the truck and forklift set? Great use! The happy couple and the peeping tom together with your comment really made me laugh! Thanks for the photos and keep the expansion going! Quote
prateek Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Awesome new building! I've seen this on BS before, and the updates are really nice. I at the peeping tom Quote
Teddy Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 You are getting better and better with all the tiny details. I absolutely love all the nice touches you put in there. I'm really impressed by the interior of you comic store. That is soo cool. Thumbs up from me. Kind regards, Teddy Quote
BlueBard Posted January 10, 2010 Author Posted January 10, 2010 Thanks, people, for your nice comments! Looks like everybody likes that depraved peeping tom... (I kept the "freak" head idea you Zorbas gave me for the owner of the Comic Store) About the piece you used for the lamp next to the couch, is it the round one (a.k.a mysterious liquid) from the truck and forklift set? Great use! Yes, it's that piece. I'm glad you like it! That is soo cool. Thumbs up from me. Thanks! Hope you will like it the next ones Quote
Rick Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Sweeeeeeeet! Regrettably, the tan house is the one creator house I'm missing so far. This is a nice downtown house (I hope the upcoming 8403 City House will be something like this, in City style obviously). I like the interior details. Wild B-day party going on upstairs that seems to attract some attention Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 AWESOME job again 'BlueBard', even the bus stop is excellent ! And yeah he's a lucky boy ! Great interior again, you're a genius - the furniture and electricals are yeah excellent. You keep raising that bar to aim at 'BlueBard' - keep up the GREAT work ! Quote
Zorbas Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 (I kept the "freak" head idea you Zorbas gave me for the owner of the Comic Store) I didn't notice that in the first place... I guess comics is not his only hobby! Regrettably, the tan house is the one creator house I'm missing so far. Try to get it Rick, that's my advice (I'm stating the obvious you'll correctly say...) It's the best creator house in my opinion. Quote
BlueBard Posted January 11, 2010 Author Posted January 11, 2010 Regrettably, the tan house is the one creator house I'm missing so far. Just three words: go for it! For me the best set of the Creator series and extremely helpful for any City builder. As you say I really hope the new 8403 will be something great as it's going to be (I think) the first urban house released by TLC You keep raising that bar to aim at 'BlueBard' - keep up the GREAT work ! Thank you! Always a pleasure to read this kind of things I guess comics is not his only hobby! Quote
ACCURATEin Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 hahaha that one minifigure is getting lucky in the bedroom!! Very nice!~ Quote
WhiteFang Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Nice creation. Seeing you using the 4954 set for its parts, kinda make me regret to sell mine set away. This is a lovely house, and fitted with nice interiors. It's refreshing to keep on seeing your modular houses. Thanks for sharing it with us, this has been featured in Classic-Town.net. Quote
BlueBard Posted January 12, 2010 Author Posted January 12, 2010 Thanks for your nice comments! Thanks for sharing it with us, this has been featured in Classic-Town.net. Thanks to you, always honoured to appear at your wonderful blog Quote
BlueBard Posted January 31, 2010 Author Posted January 31, 2010 Fifth building: Yellow House (an old one this time, last version I post here, promised ). Maybe some french people would recognize him As usual the whole gallery can be seen here or here (Brickshelf) Hope you like it! Comments are welcome! Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 OMG.....AWESOME......'Bluebard' you've done it again. I really like the scenes of the two friends enjoying their cigars ! The couple about to share a banana is cool too. As for the building itself - excellent, love the detail to it. On yeah, stay still kitty ! I'm a conformist! 'Bluebard' ! Quote
Zorbas Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Great work BlueBard! The front looks really great with all the details. The back also has the feeling of a backyard, especially placing the bicycle like that (small but very nice detail ) along with the flowers and the tree. The interior is also very beautiful and I just can't stop looking at the small stand with the plant! It's the chef's hat right? Genious! Excellent for once more! P.S The guys are upstairs having a cigar or two and he is at the backyard photographing a kitten??? Gee, some choices... Quote
Rick Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Nice one again BlueBard. Especially the interior looks excellent again. The chef's hat is pretty clever (too bad the plant is cut/was broken and then cut ). The exterior looks really nice as well, especially the front. Not too sure about the red awnings you used on the back yet. Quote
BlueBard Posted February 1, 2010 Author Posted February 1, 2010 Thanks for the nice comments, people! I just can't stop looking at the small stand with the plant! It's the chef's hat right? Genious! Thank you! I just had so many of that easy-breakable leaves around and an extra chef's hat and looking at a flowerpot my neighbours have I just got the idea. As I always say the easiest ideas and techniques are the best P.SThe guys are upstairs having a cigar or two and he is at the backyard photographing a kitten??? Gee, some choices... Oh, you know, I think he had so many cigars that he's like "Whoa, you know what would be amazing pals? Photographing a kitten!" Not too sure about the red awnings you used on the back yet. I know but, you know, the original model was more like classic-style and after so many revisions I suppose I just get used to them. They're not catastrophic so I think I'll keep them. Anyway thanks for your suggestion, but I'm really running out of bricks by keeping all these models intact and there are still 4 more to come Quote
Zorbas Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Oh, you know, I think he had so many cigars that he's like "Whoa, you know what would be amazing pals? Photographing a kitten!" I literally spilled out the soda I was drinking when I read this! Quote
BlueBard Posted February 1, 2010 Author Posted February 1, 2010 I literally spilled out the soda I was drinking when I read this! Happy to make you laugh, then! Quote
