Any of the 9x OSes (95, 98, 98 SE, ME) are horrid to use today and support is waning. With XP you should have decent support for at least another year or two, and it's an OK OS. (ME was never good though. It was lipstick on a pig, and that's being harsh to pigs. I bought a computer with ME back in 2000 and formatted it the same day...) Quote

That's a pretty good deal. It's almost like my used Dell. It can run the NXT 2.0 software. I replaced the 128MB ATI X300SE graphics card with a 512MB ATI HD4850. Now that graphics card generates heat. Quote

ATI currently has the best cards at most price points (the 4890, 5850 and 5870 would all be worthwhile upgrades), although Nvidia is expected to bring out some competition in a few months. I generally suggest avoiding SLI or CF except on top end cards. A single GPU is more robust in my experience and offers more consistent performance across a variety of games. So I worked messing with the 0x and stuff, nothing worked good. So I finally remembered that my I still had my old comp my uncle hasn't taken yet, I grabbed both comps Unplugged them, Opened them both up and there it was.. A Nvidia card I Spent a few minutes figuring out how to take the old ATI Card from my new comp. But I finally got each of them out, Just to find out, The ATI Card wont fit in the old computer.. Ah well, Don't need that old one now anyway! So I slapped in the nvidia card into my new one and plugged it up, A few settings and driver install changes and its working fine! So if anyone has that kind of problem, Its your graphics card! Quote

Joey Lock Posted March 30, 2010 Author Posted March 30, 2010 I'm sorry but I just have to say this! I'm typing this from my Main PC, That's internet browsers haven't worked for a entire year. They worked for one day about 9 months ago but then went off. I typed in "netsh winsock reset" into Command Console because I was actually, solving another problem. It was "Failed to connect to a windows service", So I went into Safe Mode to do the Command Console and once I rebooted, I wanted to see if I can solve the Internet problem because I was on a roll! So I opened Opera and a Tab I had remembered from a link my friend gave me on Steam a few weeks back, And instead of saying "http://www.youtube.com/....." It said "Youtube - Heavy gets his new weapon". YES! IT WORKS! I'll have to wait till reboot tomorrow to see if it's stayed. But, YEAH! WOO! Quote
