Posted December 9, 200915 yr http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?...480#entry631959 I bought the sets at Schaumburg Legoland Discovery center on Dec 8. Woodfield Mall lego store did not have them, but the DC did. 19.99 for R/C and 9.99 USD for Army Men. The pictures and short review inburied on page 33 of the above link. and pix are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/35155593@N05/...57622968641954/ Edited December 9, 200915 yr by Pugsly
December 9, 200915 yr Thanks for these! If you are going to start a new thread, why not repost the contents of what you said in the main thread here? Also, check the Tutorials Index for info on how to link images directly into a post from photo hosting sites (not using attachments) if you want to add some pics here
December 9, 200915 yr Can you take apart Woody (as is in is he 3 or 1 peice?) Yes I too would like to hear the answer. Thanks for the reviews! I just love that RC set.
December 9, 200915 yr Author 3 pieces for Woody. Though the hat does not come off of his head. PS thanks for the help with the photo links!!!! :)
December 9, 200915 yr 3 pieces for Woody. Though the hat does not come off of his head. PS thanks for the help with the photo links!!!! :) Of course he was 3+pieces. The hips and torso were always the same. I wonder why nobody thought of that. But the hat doesn't come off? That's just pathetic. Thanks for the review though! I'm only going to consider getting the army man set, and even then I'm not too sure.
December 9, 200915 yr That's good to know that he comes apart. The hips and torso were always the same. I wonder why nobody thought of that. But the hat doesn't come off?We knew they were the same, but wanted to know whether or not they were glued together, since he came assembled. No, it's the same with old Fabuland figs, the hat is not really made to come off on this particular fig. It suits Woody best, so that's who wears it. Although it wood be nice, for remaking movie scenes where the hat is off.
December 9, 200915 yr Does he ever take his hat off in the films? I honestly don't know. I can imagine it would be tricky to make a connection stud on Woody's head that (a) wouldn't look silly when the hat was off (b) would be strong enough to hold a separate hat piece on during play (you'd have to use multiple studs which would look even sillier). How's the quality of the plastic? The flesh tone of the head looks a bit lighter and more see through than the hands.
December 9, 200915 yr Lego is so close to a war theme. Just paint those torsos different colors and get different heads and we will be all set to go.
December 10, 200915 yr Does he ever take his hat off in the films? I honestly don't know. Yes. Does Woody show signs of a cheaper quality figure? I'm just wondering since he came assembled.
December 10, 200915 yr Check the inside of the arms (push them up!) to see if they have that weird square mark on the inside. I notice that Woody's torso has the unpainted neck just like the lower quality Magnet torsos etc

Can we get some pics of Buzz's parts? Here a reference image for you.
December 10, 200915 yr He comes in a seperate bag from the rest of the Lego pieces, pre-assembled, and he doesn't have a mark on his neck... the evidence is pretty clear. These are not high-quality lego pieces. At least these pieces are unique, though, unlike other minifig pieces that could easily be mistaken for the real thing.
December 10, 200915 yr Does he ever take his hat off in the films? I honestly don't know. Yup, there is a part in the movie where he loses his hat and gets all worried about it because he's in a rush to get ready for Andy to take him to Cowboy Camp.

These are not high-quality lego pieces... I really, really dislike that these dodgy parts are spreading even more to proper sets It looks like Buzz was a mix of normal parts and the moulded stuff since you have to assemble him from different sources. Let's wait for final confirmation from Pugsly.
December 10, 200915 yr Thanks for posting pics of the sets! 7595 Army Men On Patrol Wow! This has got to be one of the best small sets ever! The minifigs are spectacular, and I like the idea of green plastic army men made into LEGO with green plastic. I would have liked the whole set to be completely green (green tires and green headlights), but this is still perfect. The green accessories (walkie-talkie, rifles, binoculars, backpack, briefcase, stretcher, minesweeper) are amazing! Can't wait for this set to come out! Was the price $11 USD? 7590 Woody and Buzz to the Rescue It's good to know that LEGO has finally decided to print the odd shaped pieces (like the wedges and the astromech body) and also print the flat ones! Are there any stickers in 7590 Woody and Buzz to the Rescue? It's pretty unfortunate that Woody is packaged as one piece inside a bag. That means that he's made in China, and probably has the same plastic as keychains, magnet sets, etc. By the way, what was the price? $20 USD? And I was wondering, why did you post 10 pictures of the same angle of the RC car? This is one of the 10: Edited December 10, 200915 yr by ILikePi

Indeed, even if I don't get any of the other Toy Story sets, I have to get this one. I'm also looking forward to MOCs of other green army men accessories... tents, fences, flags, bunkers, artillery... Wish you could get the same set in a different shade of green, for a rival army. Beige would also work for desert armies.

December 10, 200915 yr Sorry for so many questions, but you are quite the center of attention for having the new sets. Did any of the pieces in the army man set come in separate bags of the same type that Buzz's head and other parts came in in the other set? And if so, which? Thanks very much.
December 10, 200915 yr Did any of the pieces in the army man set come in separate bags of the same type that Buzz's head and other parts came in in the other set? And if so, which? If you look at the instructions, you have to make the army men yourself. They're not made in China.
December 10, 200915 yr If you look at the instructions, you have to make the army men yourself. They're not made in China. True, but their hats and stand could have been made in China, like the jester hat is in the Castle line.
December 10, 200915 yr True, but their hats and stand could have been made in China, like the jester hat is in the Castle line. That's the annoying part. The more these parts are in circulation in regular sets, the harder it is to know what's what The bag test is the most reliable one at this stage for regular sets, it seems.
December 10, 200915 yr True, but their hats and stand could have been made in China, like the jester hat is in the Castle line. Oh yeah... I forgot that came in a separate bag. Is there an index of all the parts that are made in China? It would be useful. I also remember the cows coming in a separate bag with their horns.
July 10, 201113 yr Can you tell me where I can get parts for the car & Buzz? I have the index with part numbers but can't find the parts. P/n 4566144 (Buzz shield), 4535768 (car axel), 4496366 (under the car wing)
