Even though it's a computer-rendered image (I would have preferred real bricks), it's a really nice classic town scene.

'Walking in a winter wonderland' isn't how the song goes, in this case a winter brick wonderland.

Yes, 'Rick' I too would have loved to see this one done for real.

That's an image of last year's Lego City advent calendar, so maybe they'll release the current advent calendar next year

Yeah it would be great if they released a blown up image of that advent calender! I own one myself and would love to be able to study the nice little details

Actually they did. I got one from my local store. Lovely (free) poster. Was more thrilled to get the poster than whatever i was buying tbh. [Ok, but i was just getting yet another set of something i already had].

Hope you can get from a store too. Unfortunately I don't have a good scanner to share a high res scan. I used the poster for the backdrop of my winter toy shop:
