Legoliner Pilot Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 What LEGO do you expect under the tree this year? I am expecting the Fire Brigade and most of the Pirate sets. What did YOU ask for? Quote
Pirate Pete Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 I asked my sister to get me either Space Police or Power Miners. hopefully some of the new ones! Quote
Athos Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 I [repeatedly] asked for the CC-style fire station. Steve Quote

Legoliner Pilot Posted December 12, 2009 Author Posted December 12, 2009 Probably nothing. Huh? Why? Quote
prateek Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Huh? Why? My parents are of the "too old for Lego" sort. Quote
nintha Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 My first set of brickarms, Echo base, Indiana Jones Race for the Stolen Treasure, and probably some mini sets. My parents are in the "Arn't all the lego pieces the same" phase, I hate it. Quote
Ratshot Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 I'm asking for....... Midscale Mellenium Falcon. The Battle of Endor. Venice Canal Chase. Fighter Plane Attack. Venator Cruiser. Lukes Land Speeder. Arc-170 Battle packs from my sister. I'm Greedy Quote
Oky Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 I have been a very good boy this year, so, even though my parents said they wont buy me Lego anymore, I have asked for either the AT-OT or the Death Star. I'm expecting the latter because my parents tend to be generous, and they are giving my sister $400 for a trip to Germany, so it would only be fair if they gave me something in the same price range. I'm very sorry for you, prateek. Quote
ILikePi Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 My parents have already gotten one 10199 Winter Toy Shop from Black Friday wrapped under the tree for me (I went with my mom to get it, but they are paying for it as their gift to me), and four polybag sets (Mini TIE Fighter, Rally Racer, Snowman, and Christmas Tree) in a stocking. I can't wait to open the Winter Toy Shop! It's very unfortunate how you can't get anything, prateek. Quote
Sisco Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 I am probably getting the Republic Fighter Tank and a lot of clone battle packs. I am expanding my clone army this Christmas! Quote
Legoliner Pilot Posted December 12, 2009 Author Posted December 12, 2009 Thank you all for your responses. It is really interesting to read them, I now I can't wait until Christmas! I have to give a nod to LEGO in the way of stocking stuffers. They have everything for every theme, like battle packs, impulses, key chains, etc. Does anyone expect any certain surprises in their stocking? Quote
Svelte Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Great topic, Legoliner Pilot! The only LEGO I get under the tree is stuff I put there myself I bought a MISB 6441 Divers Deep Refuge a month or two back, so I have wrapped that and stuck it under the tree. It will give me great pleasure to open and savour such a wonderful classic set at Christmas time. Quote
Izzy Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 I know that I am getting the lime green Campervan as my sister got me to buy it for myself during a sale, along with a set each for her 6, 4, and 2 year old. I'm just another kid to her! I have also asked for the Pirate Advent Calendar but I'm pretty sure my family were to slow to pick one up. Quote
allanp Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 8258 crane truck for me! Have been trying to avoid pictures of it's inner workings as I want them to be a mystery finally revealed Christmas day! Quote
Dr Kilroy Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 This 6399 Airport Shuttle I've posted in "What did you buy today?". I can't wait for it, only 12 days left! Quote
Ratshot Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 I can't wait for it, only 12 days left! Wrong, 13 days left Quote
purplepeopleeater Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Not expecting any LEGO under the tree but if I'm lucky enough to be given any money as a present I'm hoping to buy the modular fire station after Christmas. Quote
Grimmy Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Great topic, Legoliner Pilot! The only LEGO I get under the tree is stuff I put there myself I bought a MISB 6441 Divers Deep Refuge a month or two back, so I have wrapped that and stuck it under the tree. It will give me great pleasure to open and savour such a wonderful classic set at Christmas time. I think you have the right idea! I hate to be a bit saddening in a nice cheerful thread such as this but in my family things are rough. Not much thought is put into gifts. I told my mother I rather have a cheap thing that says it is me then something expensive that is not me at all. When I shop for people for Christmas I try hard to get someone something that they like that says hey I know you and I put some thought into this. My parents are Portuguese and even though she speaks and reads English, my mother can barely tell one Lego set from another. Most Christmas's she just tells me to order something with her credit card, wrap it, and put it under the tree. Or I get money, cold hard cash, which I dislike. It's like they say, "well I'm obligated to get a gift so here don't say I didn't get you nothin." I like Svelte's idea and I may do it myself. I have 2 Castle sets still unopened that I really like. Troll Warship which has a dragon, and Dwarf Mines which also has awesome minifigs too. Though people may look at me funny lol. I could see myself now in front of everyone, "wow what could be in this nice big box! Oh wow just what I wanted, Jason Grimm (my name) how did you know?" Quote
Luke McAwesome Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 The only thing I know I'm getting for sure is 6521 Emergency Repair Truck, but I also am speculating in getting 7733 Truck and Forklift and 8056 Monster Crab Clash. But 6521 is the only thing that I know I'm getting for sure. The rest is a suprise! Quote
MarcusV3 Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 I can't wait for Christmas this year! Green Grocer Separatist shuttle Galactic enforcer Hyper speed pursuit Squidman's escape Gold heist Space truck get away Max security transport cool convertible BBQ stand winter toy shop Advent calender 09 (I got this one early for obvious reasons ) Now I know that sounds like a lot but all I asked for this year was Lego! Quote
The Green Brick Giant Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 I'm getting 7626-1: Jungle Cutter ($15 from Walmart) and 7627-1: Temple of the Crystal Skull ($30 from Walmart), probably some $5 sets my mom found for cheap too. Quote
Etzel Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Wrong, 13 days left It depends if you get your gifts on Christmas eve or Christmas day. In some countries, mine included, the big day of Christmas is the 24 of December. Regarding what sets I expect for Christmas I know I have an 7195 Ambush in Cairo waiting for me but my brother might actually get me something more. Quote
