LegoDad42 Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 NO worries gentlemen....about 3 weeks back I got the Agents 4-Wheeling Pursuit with no mini-figs in a sealed box with sealed bags. I went online to Lego, filled out a replacement parts form for the missing figs. I also had to describe in writing the specifics. I JUST got the mini-figs 2 days ago, no charge to me from Lego. They actually forgot one small 'wig' piece for the villian and I called them up...they were pleasant and professional and will send the 'wig' piece to me in about 10 days. I'd say call the Lego people directly and tell them your situation. And I'm sure you'll get your figs with no problem. Quote
Dfenz Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 If this had happened in Ireland you would be entitled to your money back from the store as the set was not fit for purpose and would have breached the sale of goods act. I presume there are similar consumer rights legislation in other countries. I wouldn't have gone through Lego but as some others have said returned to the store with parents and asked to see the manager. Its the stores responsibility not Lego's as they sold you the set. Furthermore if the store employee made any accusations in public then there is the question of defamation. If an Irish store employee had made an incorrect accusation that I'd taken the parts out and tried to get a refund I'd be making a big deal out of it there and then in the store and threatened to sue the pants of them for defamation of my good character. Dennimator Posted January 20, 2010 Author Posted January 20, 2010 They sent me the figs! I had to send the request twice (1st time they only sent me the cheap parts (legs etc)), but finally, I got them! As seen in this pic, I got some extras as well : And the extras (yay for cape box and white droid arms! ) Quote
Big Cam Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Wow, LEGO sent you $70 in free figs on your word. That just goes to show LEGO's customer service. Quote

Although I told them a very detailed description of the set, bags´conditions, what the manager said, etc. But I really agree with you, TLG´s customer service is THE best, and probably will be for a very long time. Rick Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Why would they throw that beam in? To prevent the package from getting crushed too much? I too have had nothing but positive experiences with TLG's customer service. Good to hear things turned out ok in the end. Quote

Who knows, maybe TLG secretly disguised a bomb disguised as a LEGO beam to prevent me from giving them more trouble... Edited January 21, 2010 by Dennimator Quote
AndrewDB Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 http://us.service.lego.com/en-US/replaceme...ts/default.aspx If you go here, it'll ask you to enter your address and ask you to enter what set you're missing parts from. It'll take a few days, but they'll arrive for free. :) Quote

Excellent! Good to see you got your figs! Isn't their customer service great. How long did it take to get your figs from your request? Mine took about 2 1/2 weeks for 2 missing figs. Quote

Big Cam Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Yeah, it really is. It took about the same time for me (after my 2nd request). You should not have had to request it twice and the random parts the first time seems like a ridiculous move on LEGO's part but I would understand if they were a bit hesitant at first. I believe you, but you must realize how suspicious that request must have sounded to the LEGO rep. Quote
RileyC Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Its really good how you got you minifigs. I think Lego's customer service is one of the best in the world! Quote

Yup. However I don´t complain, as the 2nd bag came with all the pcs for the figs, so the 1st bag was kinda like a bonus. I don´t say no to bonus legs, Leia head and Anakin hairpiece. Its really good how you got you minifigs. I think Lego's customer service is one of the best in the world! As several people have said in this same thread, yes, it is. Quote
ILikePi Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 (edited) Wow, I'm very glad that you got your minifigs, Dennimator! It's pretty crazy how they would send the minifigs on your word, but that goes to show that TLG has one of the best customer services around (I know, almost everyone in here said that )! brickme Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 I had this problem a couple weeks ago. I traded with my friend and got homing spider droid with no Fox! Emailed lego no reply emailed agiain with just missing parts and got them in 5 days. Quote
Legoman Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Before going to lego, I would have started at the store - as you did. But If they said no, insead of feeling undermined, I would turn it around, and blame him/her, as he/she's the one not beleiving you, hence they must have done it. Get a court order to search their house! (kidding ) Nah, I wouldv'e done the exact same thing - It's great you got your figs. I just hope TLG doesn't get taken advantage of because of their great Customer service Quote

I hope they are prepared with a "if THE day comes..." sign for their employees, because I´m calling the FBI... I´m pretty sure they have some employees who go through every order, and just ignores the suspicious ones. However yes, some might slip through. It can´t be massive though, and I hope it never will, otherwise they maybe have no option but to close the Customer Service off.. Edited January 21, 2010 by Dennimator Quote
brickme Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 No you misunderstand me. There were also several slopes and pins missing. I never go fox though. Maybe I'll try again. Quote

You should try describing the details (like I for example described how the plastic bags was "melted together" or glued, how the box smelled like super-glue (they usually don´t) etc. Also, just add the description, no parts in the "bag". Otherwise I think they will just ignore the Fox order the way I mentioned in my last post. Quote
