My American friend bought the set from Toysrus and has

it on Youtube!

It looks like a really good set! The helmets are awesome!

Ugh: "I bought two of them and I don't really think I need to buy a third one because its so big"

Spoiled much?

Not exactly brilliant camera work, perhaps you should tell him to get a tripod or something?

But I at least appreciate the quality, most Lego reviews on Youtube are done with extremely bad cell phones.

Really impressed by the set though. A tad over priced, perhaps, but I'm looking forward to it.

Yeah, he is quite spolied. Have you seen his other videos?

He has like 4 MTT's (Droid Carriers) and like 6 AAT Tanks e.t.c.

Even if I had the money I wouldn't spend it on Starwars Lego or mabye not even Lego!

I don't think he has the money at all. He's only like 12 or 13, right? Oh well, that's a discussion for another day.

He completely abuses his minifigures, though. When he takes the helmet off he just throws the rest of it around.

But I love that set. I had the last one, but eventually took it apart because of stability issues. I'm afraid to buy this one because it will probably suffer the same fate. That and it's $60.

Oh but you can tell he has money. Im not saying his my best friend, I only just know him. But by the looks of his collection, he has some rich parents or relatives...

Heres a closeup of the helmets:

Thanks for posting this! The ARC-170 does look pretty big for $60!

The helmet printing is just amazing (so much detail!)!

He also has reviews of the other 2010 LEGO Star Wars sets! :oh:

A deeplink of the ARC-170 review:

Damn Joey, when you said a 'friend had bought it from TRU' I thought it was available in the UK, until I saw the vid.

I do like the amazingly detailed decals though on the pilots, as well as Kit Fisto (in a set I actually want).

I love the dual flick fire and wing folding mechism. I can't wait to put this baby on display with a trans clear pole :sweet:

I don't have enough internet to watch the video so does it mention if the parts are printed or stickers?

I like this set with three new figures and a rare Kitt Fisto.

They are stickers

legoboy12345678, here's a hint: get a tripod. Seriously. That video was a pain to watch, constantly in and out of focus.

I looked at his other review of the Freeco speeder. I wasn't expecting Anakin to have a double sided head. :oh:

Is that even including the cockpit?

Im pretty sure Lego are going to use the same controls/screen brick that they used in the old set. And that was printed.

I do much better reviews than Legoboy  But I won't be able to get the new StaR Wars sets till January. But it was nice to see the new stuff, even if he was annoying.

They where pretty good reviews, for all the new sets.

He was alittle annoying though.

They look so good! Especially the ARC helmets.

Hey Joey,

Names David, I was the one who made that review on You Tube...I have say I have been seeing my review go all over the internet ..and your one them who is doing that...and thats not a bad thing at all. I have reading through all the comments you guys have been saying about "where do I get the money" blah blah... oh and i get money from three different ways...You Tube Partner Program (with Ad clicking) , Toysrus Gift Cards that my family get from Chase Credit Cards, and to top it all off just doing around the yard work with the regular $10 a week for cores...soo that should really give you and the others how I get this stuff..I'll talk to you later one more about those reviews

Oh really...what makes you think that ???

Well, it's fine that we can rely on legoboy to be the first who reviews the new sets.

While I was looking through your reviews, I actually noticed a big mistake in the ARC review, you named Kit Fisto "Greedo"!

There's a slight difference between them:

I can't unterstand why you complain that there are only 3 blasters in the Snowtrooper Battlepack. One rifle abd one short blaster for the snowies (which you name stormtroopers) and one for the commander. The pilot uses to sit and to navigate the cannon, so there's no reason for him to take a blaster with him.

Nevertheless, it's always great to get a closer look at the new products, keep on reviewing.

Hey Legoboy12345678, I like your reviews they are very in depth and worth while to watch. How ever I dont like how you keep on going on about where you got it from to get it into peoples heads. Most of the "where did you buy this?" comments are just to annoy you because you treated your watcher like a baby.

Thanks for the review, Legoboy - nice to see the new ARC-170 in close-up detail for the first time. I agree with you that it's a nice set, and bigger than I expected. I was a bit surprised that they remade this one since the previous version was only released a few years back, but Lego isn't averse to remaking recent sets now and again (or even just re-releasing sets with a different set number, e.g. 7150, 7152 etc.).

I'm hoping that someone will photograph the older and newer ARC-170 sets side by side soon.

It's certainly the biggest set that I've seen for next year so far, but at less than 400 pieces I'm sure that there are a few nice big sets that they're going to wow us with over the next few months. Can't wait !

Cheers,

Dr. D.

Good to see you finally joined. I messaged you on youtube a while back telling you about EB (I'm cagee14 btw). I thought you might not see it considering the possible amount of maill you might get from alll the others users!

You sure are lucky having an army that size!

Anyhoo, nice review, but get a tripod! Also include some more lighting, and back the ships onto some white card to make it easier to see.
