DarthSion Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 (edited) This thread is likely to contain spoilers, if you have not played the Hoth mission it is advised you do NOT read this thread, I will try to use spoiler tags but at some point there will be no need as it will be too common a place. http://au.ps3.ign.com/articles/105/1054760p1.html Well its obvious who it is though, I mean given at the end of the Hoth mission you fight fallen Luke and then he becomes Starkillers apprentice that you play as Luke. Please still be considerate and use spoiler tags. Update, the official website shows Starkiller before the end of TFU, so not in the sith outfits, and holding not one but 2 BLUE lightsabers, the preview is not out until the 14th. http://www.lucasarts.com/games/theforceunleashed2/# HQ trailer. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/star-wars-spike-tv/59817 Edited December 13, 2009 by DarthSion Quote
Forresto Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 I just saw the teaser for it on youtube that was shown at the VGA. It was awesome! I was also a little freaked out at first when he entered the arena and the Rancor was thrown out of arena beast's doorway like a ragdoll. The fact that you could'nt see it at first and that it could kill a rancor like we would a chicken or duck. It can't be the same character from force unleashed though because I thought he was killed in the end. Quote
DarthSion Posted December 13, 2009 Author Posted December 13, 2009 Ah you see there are 2 ending for TFU, you fight and defeat the Emperor which is the good ending and Starkiller dies, or you fight and kill Vader which is the bad ending. Then they released the jedi temple and Tattooine which assumed you killed Vader and became the Emperors apprentice, then they released TFU ultimate Sith edition which you play on Hoth against Luke, which. You need to play TFU:USE and do the Hoth mission to understand how TFU2 will work. Quote
simonjedi Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 I'd rather have a next gen x-wing series or jedi knight. Or battlefront 3. How can TFU2 work, i thought the good ending was cannon? This is just overpriced DLC. Quote
DarthSion Posted December 13, 2009 Author Posted December 13, 2009 Unless it was a fake out, it is LA remember, like how Luke saw himself when he cut Vaders head off in 5, or in the Jedi temple when he fought the evil version of himself. Or how about just waiting a damn minute and seeing how it pans out, its only just announced, What ever it is it would not have been approved with out George officially giving it a green light. What the hell was the thing he was fighting, it looks like a bull rancor, but walked like it was an ape, and the jaws almost move like a predator. Quote
Satellite Jack Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 I was thinking that it could be a true continuation. Maybe he wasn't really dead and then went into hiding or something like that? Or maybe it's a clone of him Regardless, I still need to play Sith Edition Quote
-JD- Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 (edited) That...looks...AMAZING! That is one of the best video game trailers I have seen! I mean... a giant rancor?! Sold. I no longer care about the SW timeline. Edited December 13, 2009 by Jammiedodger714 Quote
SWMAN Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 (edited) Ah you see there are 2 ending for TFU, you fight and defeat the Emperor which is the good ending and Starkiller dies, or you fight and kill Vader which is the bad ending. I am sorry, but I don't agree. First off, the Jedi Temple mission is meant to be during the main story, not after like the other two DLC's. Also, if you remember, you don't really "survive" at the end of TFU. Even though you don't die, you become a lot like Vader, with a similar mask and such. Now, if you go back and watch the trailer for TFU2, you will see that Starkiller is healthy and whole, with not damage or Vader-like apparatus. Considering the Canon ending of TFU is Starkiller dying, TFU2 might not be completely canon. On a side note, I think simonjedi simply did not like TFU, so that is why he doesn't want a sequel. Also, he is correct in his analysis of the ending of TFU. No need to tell him to "wait a damn minute". Just like you he has an opinion. Now that I look at, you seem pretty sure how TFU2 will work. You might not be right either. I don't want to start an argument, but I think you criticized simonjedi a little too harshly. Edited December 13, 2009 by SWMAN Quote

JeffD984 Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Looking forward to this game as I really enjoyed the first! I guess all we can do is speculate as to how he is alive and healthy. Perhaps he gets resurrected in the same fashion as when Vader brings him back to life? Haha I can picture the Emperor doing his best Die Hard movie impression by shouting "Why wont you die!?!?" Quote
Zapper Brick Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Maybe Palpy really has found a way to cheat death? Maybe he revived Starkiller to replace Vader, but Starkiller wouldn't do it, so they fought again etc. Starkiller escapes and is torn between Light and Dark....and possibly trains under Yoda. Only question is: Is Juno Eclipse still alive? Or is she dead, her loss drawing Starkiller toward the Dark Side? Quote
RileyC Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 It looks really good but I just dont know how it fits into the story line though Quote
DarthSion Posted December 15, 2009 Author Posted December 15, 2009 Well if you have played the DLC it makes no sense. My thinking is he was actually only wounded during the fight with the Emperor, or he died and came back like Darth Sion did, my friend thinks a clone. Its interesting how it is Vader and Yoda doing the voice over. Has anyone found out what that big ape thing is?. Quote
RileyC Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 (edited) Well if you have played the DLC it makes no sense. Yeah I desperately need to play that now cause I just finished the force unleashed on jedi master Edited December 15, 2009 by Roncanator Quote
DarthSion Posted December 15, 2009 Author Posted December 15, 2009 My only guess is the DLC and 2 will follow different paths, like DLC was obviously if you took the bad ending, 2 will be the good, how he lives is another thing though, the DLC obviously he was alive although not how he is in 2. hewkii9 Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 I don't care if it's canon. All I want is for them to fix the combat, change up the Force powers a bit, and give us something as awesome as the Death Star level and I'll be happy. Quote

DarthSion Posted December 16, 2009 Author Posted December 16, 2009 I wonder if they will still use crash down. I just hope they don't do another ISD, that was so annoying until they fixed it. And more to the point, I hope the dual sabers isn't just a one off thing, and we get to use them both. Actually I will just be happy if it doesn't end up as bad as RH, but as its not being done my krome it should be good. Quote

For the record i enjoyed TFU (only played the PS2 version) it was a fun but flawed game. I just think that an older Lucasarts title like the jedi knight series (Which is the predecessor to TFU but 10x better) rather than have another TFU. Quote

Captain REX Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 I would very much like to play Star Wars: The Admin Unleashed if that is what you are hinting at. Coming soon star wars: the Admin unleashed! Play as your favourite admin. Fight your way through hordes of flamers, spammers and trolls! Use force powers including: Ban, delete comment and lock thread! I just could not resist after that comment . Meanwhile back on topic.... I was really hoping for battlefront 3 but force unleashed 2 to me is still fine as long as they add things that should have been in the last game e.g. multiplayer for ps3/360 and dismemberment because a lightsaber is not a baseball bat. So your basing your opinion on a crappy out dated system made by a totally different dev team. All the undercut systems Wii ds ps2 psp were made by Krome studios who did a rubbish job of it, the 360 an ps3 were done by LA themselves and it was night and day, for one much better graphics, for another much better game play, much better control of the force, better story, better fighting style. As for JK, it would have been like shooting themselves in the foot, TFU is the fastest and highest selling game, it was obvious they would do a sequel while it was still hot. Besides, I read an article today LA is working on more than 1 title anyway, TFU is the only officially announced game. Quote

I ahve to agree, you can't play a game on PS2 and then say it's a flawd game, it's the system that is the problem. The 360 version looks immaculate, ad I can't wait for TFU2, cannon or not. Quote
simonjedi Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 LA themselves and it was night and day What? for one much better graphics, REALLY?? *Mind Blown* better story, Story was exactly the same It still had the exact same game play/fighting styles as the other versions i.e godawful quicktime events, lightsabers that act like baseball bats, annoying enemies.
