The Alchemyst Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 (edited) EDIT: Whoops, I spelled "Fabulous" wrong, could an admin fix it? Thankee. The flickr set, with 4 pics. Editing the pics were a paaain. But backstory is the fact that I love Steampunk and hadn't built a Steampunk MOC. So I broke out all the brown system I had, which was mostly from a garage sale. ._. Wanted to use those propellers into something like a podracer, but didn't have another 3x3 dish, and that looked too good to pass. A Bionicle Ball joint allows rotation for the lower propeller. Comments, criticism, and marriage requests are all accepted. [-TA-] Edited December 13, 2009 by The Alchemyst Quote
L-space Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 It looks great and the photo editing has really set the atmosphere. So good job on that as well. Only minor point I see is the large rectangulair hole on the side in the inverted slope. It puts down on the sleekness of the model. Maybe another greeble woulds solve it. But aside that a big Quote
Legostein Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Hello! It has definitely the right look at makes a great Steampunk creation. I especially like the use of the pirate lookout piece which adds much detail to it. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
Rayskull Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Those grey valves megablocks a lot to the feel, I also like the little detail to his right arm, a charming creation. Quote
Rick Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Nice fantasy flying machine... I really like the big 'exhaust'. The governor's face looks goes really well with this steampunk creation. Quote
Tereglith Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Nice job. Your steam exhaust technique looks really cool. Quote

But aside that a big Thanks. I tried fitting in rubber bands into it to fill it, but those wouldn't stay, nor would half technic bushels. Cheers, ~ Christopher Thanks, got that from the garage sale. That's what started this MOC, pretty much. I thought it'd make a good exhaust. :P Those grey valves megablocks a lot to the feel, I also like the little detail to his right arm, a charming creation. What did I do to his right arm? o.o And yea, I love those wheels. Nice fantasy flying machine... I really like the big 'exhaust'. Batbrick Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Great flying contraption TheAlchemyst, I really must get into this steampunk craze as it looks like real fun. The front especially makes those ugly rounded pieces look appealing, great job! All the greebles with the wheels and pipes really makes the creation though, thanks for sharing. Batbrick Away! Quote
Big Cam Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Haha, great background. I love the design, it's so impossible but fun and reminds me of old flying machine designs. Excellent job! Quote
