Admiral Ron Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Ok, this is my first attempt at a decent ship, please tell me what I can do better! Admiral Ron, master and commander of this ship. please excuse the ugly bow, tell me how to change it! Thanks in advance everyone, i hope you enjoy it! Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 This ship looks quite good, nice colourscheme for example. But, there's still room for improvement The grey part on the bow would look better in black, and the rudder better in brown. And some stuff on the deck would be nice. For the rest I think your ship looks good so far, I'm curious how it will look with sails and all that Quote
trubal Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Hi! Good work on the WIP, though I have to say, the cabin on the stern is way to small, try widen it (add 1 more window in the middle maybe?) Quote
ZCerberus Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 (edited) The crab on the back is awesome! Is there a good way to connect the sides of the ship to the hull at the bottom? Edited December 17, 2009 by ZCerberus Quote
Admiral Ron Posted December 17, 2009 Author Posted December 17, 2009 Thanks for all the comments everyone! Admiral Croissant- I will change the grey bow, but I didnt put anything on deck yet becuase it is a WIP and it makes it easier to rip apart to fix them :) Trubal- I will see about making the cabin bigger, maybe I should make it less round? ZCerbus- I am afraid there is no way to connect the sides to the hull very well, because the wall is being held on by the little hinges used by Captain Green Hair, and it overhangs the hull, and I am not sure exactly how to fix that haha Thanks again and I will be working on it a little more now! Commodore Hornbricker Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Very nice. I'd also echo the comments on the stern. I'd raise it up two bricks and bring it back two bricks and widen it by two bricks on each side. Quote
TheLegoNinja Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 I would move the CGH hinges inward 1 stud to fix the overhang. This is a very decent start and i hope to see more! Quote
