Siegfried Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Hey guys, the new chapter will be up shortly, just waiting on one response about dynamic actions, thanks. You've got a talent for posting updates when I am at my most busy! I'll post when I can...
Hinckley Posted February 26, 2010 Author Posted February 26, 2010 My internet is down. I'm posting from my phone. I will update the chapter as soon as the cable is fixed...
Zepher Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 My internet is down. I'm posting from my phone. I will update the chapter as soon as the cable is fixed... My internet has also been down, but I'm back in action again!
iamded Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 My internet has also been down, but I'm back in action again! Same here. Are all internet service providers out to stop Red Moon?
Hinckley Posted March 4, 2010 Author Posted March 4, 2010 I will be picking up the pace of this chapter by Friday, I hope... Thanks for bearing with me.
Hinckley Posted March 8, 2010 Author Posted March 8, 2010 Ah, sweet relief. The pace changed I promised is upon us. The pace should go back to slow and steady as opposed to snail's pace as it's been for the last week. Sorry about that, guys and thanks for keeping up and being patient with me. You guys are awesome. Hope you enjoy the next portion of the game as much as you enjoyed the first part.
JimBee Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Now it's getting interesting, watching from the sidelines heaven. Another character dead... I'm also wondering when the moon turns red- there was a sense of urgency in the second or third chapter, when there was only fifteen minutes until the eclipse. Oh well. De-gay the place.
Dannylonglegs Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 (edited) Hey, sorry for double posting Hinckley, I still thought it would merge I'm also sorry for being choppy in my responses. Those are my favorite types of puzzle! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited March 10, 2010 by dannylonglegs
Hinckley Posted March 10, 2010 Author Posted March 10, 2010 Hey, sorry for double posting Hinckley, I still thought it would merge I'm also sorry for being choppy in my responses. Those are my favorite types of puzzle! ~Insectoid Aristocrat No worries! Post however you need. If you double post, it's fine. In this game only... Got it! ; The statue on the left holds a torch in his left hand The statue on the right holds a torch in his hand The center statue holds two swords The sword are crossed *Takes sip of coffee and puts down the news paper and smugly grins at the camera* Too easy! ! Wow wow wow. How did you find the cipher?
Dannylonglegs Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 (edited) ! Wow wow wow. How did you find the cipher? If I explain my magic It will not be as unbelievable, but if you insist on ruining childrens' dreams and killing tinkerbell, view the text concealed bellow. (harder to find then the solution to Hink's puzzle ) Sorry for doing it so quickly, I'm sure you expected that to be harder or something but you see it was rather simple. The first thing I picked out was the 3 recurring symbols that you used for THE; >no, as that is the most common three letter word in the English language, I went out on a limb and guessed (correctly) that it was THE, next I looked for the one letter word. Either I or A, I guessed A, because if it started with THE, then odds were that it was going to be more along the lines of instructions then a diary entry or letter. I was again correct. From there I just made words filling in the symbols. Frankly I find this style of problem to be easier than the anagrams because I've been doing it since I was 11. I realize now that there is likely some manner of key, yet un-found that you expected us to find before the answer was reveiled... oops ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited March 10, 2010 by dannylonglegs
Hinckley Posted March 10, 2010 Author Posted March 10, 2010 Well, great job. For a quicker solution check out this link: Masonic Cipher
Dannylonglegs Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Well, great job. For a quicker solution check out this link: Masonic Cipher Where's the fun in that ~Insectoid Aristocrat
Siegfried Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 If I explain my magic It will not be as unbelievable, but if you insist on ruining childrens' dreams and killing tinkerbell, view the text concealed bellow. That's good work. It's a shame I was busy at the time as I would have solved it faster as I know the system. Since you don't seem to have heard of it I'm really impressed!
Ricecracker Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Sorry about my absence. I'm on vacation right now, but was supposed to have internet. Obviously, I didn't, but I do now.
MetroiD Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 I just wanted to ask... Now that Shadows Sheldon has officially raped a fellow game character, should we start worrying about the fate of the 42. Regiment?
Hinckley Posted March 23, 2010 Author Posted March 23, 2010 Hello participants! I hope you are still all having fun with the game. I am really enjoying hosting it and its exciting to see so many people still active. I know the game is a bit slower than others and has been going for a while but I hope you can all stay patient and just think of this as fun. I've had a few people drop out and I've had another request and I think I've talked that person into staying. If your commitments are getting overwhelming, let me offer this bit of advice for continuing with and enjoying this game. If you have to take off for a few days, its easy to catch up. Just check my posts for italicized text and that should give you all the info you need to continue with the game. Posting just a few times a chapter is enough and staying up on the mystery is really all that is required. I understand being stretched thin. I have a new job, have been preparing for a promotion, working a sidejob and just had my tonsils removed. I am still finding the time to host the game amongst all of that and that is why its going so slow. Trust me, I'll be patient with you if you have other things to do since you have all been so graciously patient with me. The game is more than halfway over, so just bear with me and I guarantee it'll be fun. I really enjoy doing this. This is a lot of fun and I love creating the mystery. I really appreciate all of you for playing along and having fun too. At the beginning of the next chapter, which will be soon, I'll be a little more clear about your objectives and start setting up the way to win the game. Continue having fun, guys, and thanks so much for playing!
Shadows Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Continue having fun, guys, and thanks so much for playing! the game, wouldn't imagine quitting and letting you off that easy! Keep up the great work, but if we have any more "find the torches" puzzles...
Hinckley Posted March 23, 2010 Author Posted March 23, 2010 the game, wouldn't imagine quitting and letting you off that easy! Keep up the great work, but if we have any more "find the torches" puzzles... Yes sir! More torch puzzles coming right up! Next room will be lined with twenty torches, each needing to be turned to a different angle mwahahahahahahaha
Shadows Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Yes sir! More torch puzzles coming right up! Next room will be lined with twenty torches, each needing to be turned to a different angle mwahahahahahahaha YES! More chances to rape work behind Diesel! My evil plans have come to fruition!
Sir Dillon Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I think I'm going to fail at the whole solving aspect of the game, but so far am enjoying participating. Keep up the good work David!
WhiteFang Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Sorry Hinck, old William is poor at solving puzzles especially those anagrams. My wife, is so much better with these. I really enjoy the game process and images which you have put up for us, and I will also try my very very best to keep up with it. Thanks Hinck for doing this for us.
Hinckley Posted March 24, 2010 Author Posted March 24, 2010 No apologies necessary guys. I just wanted to encourage you all to stick with it. There will be more puzzles in the future but chapter 6 will bring a lot more action too.
Dragonator Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 I for one am thoroughly enjoying the game Hinck, and I'm really loving how everything is unfolding. It is moving a little slow, yes, but I can put up with that because the quality is terrific! Lots of neat interactive things to do, and the more I discover the more questions I have about the whole mystery, so that has to be a good thing, right? So yes, I'm having a great time, despite the raping, and I'm looking forward to this promised action in Chapter 6 when the time comes for us to move on to that.
Hinckley Posted March 26, 2010 Author Posted March 26, 2010 ... and I'm looking forward to this promised action in Chapter 6 when the time comes for us to move on to that. Well, I've sent some info out to players and I'm waiting for them to bring it to the chapter. Hint hint players.
iamded Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Next room will be lined with twenty torches, each needing to be turned to a different angle mwahahahahahahaha Alright, so long as you give us plenty of anagram clues in Masonic cipher. I'm still having fun with this, even if I get a bit lost now and then. You're doing great Hinckley. ~Peace
