BobaFett2 Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Great job! It's cool how you used the bricks and made it modular. Quote
Wout Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Ah Wout! Nice to see you here..I understand the word vliezotrap indeed, but i was looking for the Englash translation you see... :) We used to have one of those at my parents house, and this thing and i were never friends.. Cheers! JJ I wasn't also always happy with it. When I was four or something I once felt of it when I climbed it. I looked at wikipedia.nl and there I read that it was a combination of Vliering/Zolder trap (sorry english readers; dutch words) and invented by a building company in Breda. Concurrents made the name Vlizo without the e, so they can not be sued by the first company. I didn't see an artikel in an other language about it. Maybe it's a specific dutch cultural house invention. Maybe is fold-in stairs or fold-out stairs a good translation. Quote
NewRight Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Wow this is really great. The Willy Wonka vibe really makes this for me. Quote
Stanley Kbrick Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Really inspiring! Now, you asked how we would think mrs. Elladora would look. This is mine version: As Mrs Elladora closed her shop, some boys came running and asked for candy. Now mrs. Elladora is a really sweet lady and she offered them some caramalised cherries for free. (the legs and torso are from a castle set I believe, the hair is from princess Leia and the head is from none other than proffesor Dumbledore) Hope you like it. regards stanley Quote
Jasper Joppe Geers Posted June 2, 2010 Author Posted June 2, 2010 Wow! Many thanks for this lovely vignette Stanley! If i may ask, can you send me a bigger pic of her? She would fit in one hundred percent! I'll have a look at the parts you used. Only change i'm thinking about is her hair turning grey perhaps... Hmm.... Cool to use the Dumbledore head! Cheers, and many thanks again! JJ Quote
Stanley Kbrick Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 (edited) But mrs Elladora is a vain girl and she dyes her hair... I don't think it's available in gray. Except for the hair of dumbledore himself, the old pigtail-, and the ponytail hair I don't know any gray hair pieces. I'll make a bigger picture for you later. Glad you like it, regards stanley Here's the picture you asked for Edited June 2, 2010 by Stanley Kbrick Quote
Fires-storm Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 (edited) Wow, what a beautiful building! Nice work mate, I love all the detail you put into it, the top of the roof, the color scheme, everything is just brilliant Edited June 2, 2010 by Fires-storm Quote
ACCURATEin Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 You, Sir, are out of control. Simply stunning details!! Well done. Quote
Wout Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 I think the torso and dress is from a fig in the studio sets (from 2002) Quote
Stanley Kbrick Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 I think the torso and dress is from a fig in the studio sets (from 2002) that's right. I completely forgot about the figs within that set. It's from the laboratory set (excellent set by the way) link to figs with this torso on bricklink actually really cheap. cheers stanley Quote
