Hello dear Afols,

I was browsing the internet and this site when I got back into Lego this summer. Regarding bricks I started from zero since I left my childhood lego at my parents place. Such that their grandchildren have something to play with.

In the first few months building mocs required nearly all of my collection. This was fun as well since I had to improvise a lot. Now my collection is bigger. (My wife got me the MMV this christmas.) But I still don't keep anything together, at least not more than a week or two.

I build all kind of stuff (not in a single theme). But if I have to choose then Castle is my favorite. And I don't care too much about minifigs (still don't have that many) but I like my models to be minifig or system scale (i.e. minifigs can be put in). I also like to include some function, some gears or so.

Improvising is always fun, it is better to have proper parts, though, but I like to find solutions with other parts

I like the bad guys as well. But my favorite fraction would probably be the rioting townsfolk opposing against the tax collectors of the king. I'm not so much into fantasy.

My guess is that many will continue to call the theme castle. Just as an overall name for all the different castle and knight related themes that came out.

Right, 'Town' didn't die when TLG started to call it '(World) City'.
