Hello, my name is Jason. I am from New York, USA. I work as a NYC Police Officer and serving my proud country as an US Marine. I've been playing Lego since I was a little kid, but my family wasn't very wealthy and Lego wasn't cheap, even in the early 80's. Well, long story short, I've finally be able to relive my childhood dream of owning Legos.

- Below picture is a bit old, but it was a picture suitable for me to use as a reference to my Marine Lego figure. FYI: I am a Corporal now, and that picture was my Private days.

P.S. For those of you in Norway or England. My unit and I are visiting your Nations and conducting a joint exercises in Norway on Feb 15 for 3 weeks. I am definitely looking forward to it.

Thanks for the warm welcoming. My favorite theme have to be City and Trains. I started my layout due to my train layout. I am also starting to do MOC on buildings and rail cars.

Served from Jan 2003 to Dec 2006 on Active duty with the Marines, and serving from 2007 as a Police Officer and as a Marine Reservist.

No, not at all. I do enjoy having a decent size Police force in my Lego city, but I mainly focus on the train sets.

Speaking of which, I have an important question to ask about my 9v train set. My BNSF train is running on 3 engines (3x 9v motor and 1x RC motor) and towing 23 cars. After the train goes around like 8-10 laps, the train stops, and I have to let the AC power box cool off before it will run again. Do anyone have this kind of problem? Am I lacking power or I am just towing too many cars?

Am I lacking power or I am just towing too many cars?

Most of the 9V controllers have a low current output, and will overheat and trip the thermal cutout eventually, the more motors and the harder they are working the sooner this will happen. Many Lego train clubs use other controllers for this reason, or use multiple lego controllers. My club uses a custom built high current supply.

Once you've jumped that hurdle you'll fint the 9V motors will also overheat after continuous use. Limiting the load on them by using more motors on shorter trains can avoid this.
