lego-maniac Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 (edited) Hi, Here is my NEW entry for the contest. Xmas reminds me of my snow hollidays when I was young. I suppose that if ever Star Wars Minfig had hollidays, they'd probably like to sledd. VIGNETTE HAS BEEN EDITED !!! _ GOOD SIZE, NO OVERHANG !! :) Edited December 29, 2009 by lego-maniac Quote
74louloute Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 (edited) Ah ah ! I like the concept and this is better than the first version! At first glance, I didn't see that the background has something written on it ! The pose are great, and give a good sens of movement. Finally, I really like the way you built the trees with snow. Good luck Edited December 27, 2009 by 74louloute Quote
Tereglith Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 This is very nice, and certainly action packed. It's a bit confusing though - Anakin and Vader interacting? Ah, well. The best part is the snow angel, that's terribly clever. I'd take out all the overhang though, as it isn't allowed. Quote
prateek Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 This is an awesome vig! I love the tree, and the snow angel is SNOT-alicious Quote
lego-maniac Posted December 28, 2009 Author Posted December 28, 2009 of course Anakin Vs Vader is a joke ! But, I agree with "It's a bit confusing " I think that there is too many people on this Vig May I change some minifig... about this : " I'd take out all the overhang though, as it isn't allowed." i don't really understand ... sorry ... For me an overhang is something build over the size. Some one could explain to me please ? Nobody see the lights inside ? We can see it behind R2 and under ashoka... I use transparent brick (ice) to let the lights crossing ... I've used also phospho saber in order to shoot the vig in the dark but... it doesn't work ... Quote
KimT Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 The rules state that your entry is to be a maximum size of 16 x 16 studs with no overhang. Overhang is parts that stick out over the sides of the vignette. But since the overhang on this vig isn't too much, I've decided to let it "live" and thus be accepted as an entry. I'll do the same for other vigs with minor overhang - sadly I am the judge of what that exactly means Quote
Legoman Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Nice entry! Its very busy and nicely designed- I love the 'Happy 2010' in the backround! One small query I have... This is a bit.... errr well, way bigger than 16x16 studs. It's 16 wide at the front, but at least (can't completely tell by the pics) 17 bricks deep. That ecuates to over 23 studs deep. I don't mind if Kim decides to still let it slip, its up to him, but I thought it should at least be pointed out -Legoman Quote
lego-maniac Posted December 29, 2009 Author Posted December 29, 2009 (edited) Hi KimT thanks for your comment. Indeed, this Vig is my first one and I really want to respect the rules. I've decided to EDIT pictures Legoman, you are right, my previous vig was too big. 16 X 17 bricks deep , I don't take care when I've build in SNOT. Sorry, Hope this new entry will be good . Good luck everybody :) Edited December 29, 2009 by lego-maniac Quote
