Steel Dragon Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 These look great! I especially like the second one, it reminds me of Inglorious Basterds . Quote
Tereglith Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 These are pretty nice! I just got back from a screening of Avatar myself. Are you planning on later painting some Toy Story "tall legs" and "long arms" for it? That would look pretty cool, and put it in scale. The rest of them are nice, too. The cape over the arms as a trenchcoat is clever. Quote
nintha Posted December 30, 2009 Author Posted December 30, 2009 Thanks, Steel Dragon. I guess I got inspiration from that movie. Thanks Tereglith, I actually had that idea too and I can't wait to get more Toy Story sets. Quote
badboytje88 Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 (edited) You made some lovely combinations there. How rad would it be if you could own 10 (or more) buzz lightyears to make your own star command team. That would be so awsome. Back to your figs. The only tip I have for you is to sand the blue avatar fig a little bit. He looks a little bit rough around the edges. Other wise I find it a very lovely fig. Edit: What head did you use for the middle WWII insurgent? Edited December 30, 2009 by badboytje88 Quote
BlueBard Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Nice! I especially like the insurgents Quote
nintha Posted December 30, 2009 Author Posted December 30, 2009 Thanks, BlueBard and badboytje88. The face is from the new star wars rebel battle pack. Quote
VBBN Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 That District 9 one looks very nice, It was a great movie, and the figure reflects him perfectly. Quote
nintha Posted December 30, 2009 Author Posted December 30, 2009 (edited) Thanks, VBBN. It was a preety good movie and the figure wasn't exposed to be him but I think I could make him later. Another minifig And I don't know if these count but lego turtles. Edited December 30, 2009 by nintha Quote
Forresto Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Damn there's my chance using that helmet for a turtle! Great job on everything and I REALLY like you're Na'vi figure. It could use some improvement but it looks really good! How did you make him? I also really like Zurg's head on Buzze's body . It'd really strange, funny but oddly a good looking combo. It's kind've funny but you've done two figures from two of my favorite Sci-fis. Quote
nintha Posted January 1, 2010 Author Posted January 1, 2010 Thanks, Forresto, and yeah the na'vi figure is going to get alot of improvement. I made him by getting a blue body, arms, and legs and put sharpie on for the stripes and the head was a fleshie that I smeared blue sharpie on. Quote
