Hello, my name is Cian and I'm an AFOL, it seems. 22, live near Dublin, Ireland.

Had a massive Lego layout when I was a kid, mostly very square, colour-mixed MOC houses/shops made from 70s/80s sets my siblings had had where I'd lost the boxes/instructions and 80s/90s sets alongside them. Some passed down, most bought myself including getting brought to Windsor just after it opened.

Also had a rake of classic Castle (including 6805 and 6080 with lots of additional modules for each castle), but this was all my siblings originally and I never used it much... and I had a fair bit of Technic, again all passed down from siblings and a family friend.

"Grew up", gave them all away. Got back in to Lego a few years ago, have managed to get most of the 07-09 City sets at this stage and I've started eBay'ing the odd set I used to have and want again or some of the ones I wanted from old catalogues but didn't have the ability to get when I was 11 and eBay didn't exist!

I need to get over the pyschological hurdle of taking sets apart (noooo!) and start doing MOCs again, not having a massive pile of set-less parts anymore and also not having a Lego store for raiding PaB is a bit of a problem here. And I still remain convinced there was a bigger Shell station than 6378.... either that or sets looked much bigger when I was small!

Welcome to EB. You'll be surprised at how quickly you have a collection again that is at least as big as your childhood collection. Lego is so addictive...
