VBBN Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 More figures to come... Still need to work on the chroming of that red helmet and touchup the armor, but it's looking good so far. Debating whether or not to keep that silver bit on the nose of the red helmet. Enjoy! And if you wish to use my sigfig, please do, just let me know! Any hatpiece can be used if you do not have the Hitomi hair or Pilot Helmet(and obviously the red one). And any color of Epalette can be used as well. Quote
prateek Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Great new additions! I would suggest removing that silver thing on the helmet's nose area. I like the shoulder pad thing though Quote
Millacol88 Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Good work there, VBBN! That makes me want to make a custom fig for my avatar. I'm also wondering what piece those shoulder pads are? And I think you should take off the silver bit under the nose, it's looks a bit like a Hitler 'stache. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 That's great! I have to agree with prateek about the chrome bit on the nose, but other than that, I think our custom fig is fabulous! I realy like the chromed Insectoids armour peice, how do you do that? I think I want to chrome up one of my beloved armour pieces too! ~insectoid Aristocrat Quote

And I plan on doing that, stay tuned for version two which will have more extras! Good work there, VBBN! I believe they came with the old ogel sets; I git mine in a trade with Exobuilder a while ago. Looks much better with paint. And for the silver bit, like I said above, I'll be removing it. :] EDIT: To dannylonglegs; Testor's enamel paint is a great way to chrome any armor, use a thin brush and it will come out like mine. The helmet has a different chrome, more shiney, but armor is easier to do with the paint. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 (edited) I'm also wondering what piece those shoulder pads are? They were first used in the space line of UFOs and later in the TOTALY FANTASTIC space line of Insectoids, aside from thase two themes they have made a sporatic apearances in other themes, including the original agents (Alpha Team I think) ~Insectoid Aristocrat w/ Cool Armour EDIT:To dannylonglegs; Testor's enamel paint is a great way to chrome any armor, use a thin brush and it will come out like mine. VBBN Posted December 30, 2009 Author Posted December 30, 2009 Quick update... The paint went on a bit thicker than I planned, but ater I ink it to bring out the details, it will be fine. :] And stay tuned, I'm beginning custom headgear... Quote
Natman8000 Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Wait a minute, if I remember correctly, you told me that the helmet came in red as an error, right? Why would you ruin it? That helmet is a unique thing! If you really wanted a red helmet couldn't you have painted it red? Besides that, its pretty cool. I like the way you painted the far less special shoulder pads. Quote

I no longer have the misprint, this one was painted. Quote
