It magically happens, you just have to wait. Seriously: it gets moderated before becoming public, so it requires human intervention. In the meantime, you can deeplink your images, perhaps using thumbnails.

I ask because I have submitted an entry into CCCVII (using only Brickshelf for hosting images), and I don't think it will be of much use when people can't see the pictures in all their glory.

Just do what Rick told you to do, we all do that.

If you want to show pictures instantly, use deeplink as he showed. That way you can present it as soon as you upload them.

You can use other image host sites, like Imageshack.

I'll being hypocritical and say this: have patience. It rarely takes more than two days. If you look away from Brickshelf for a while, it will be there when you get back probably!

Also, considering you have uploaded the pictures, you can deeplink them by copying the image location after clicking until the background is white.

If you read the tutorials around the forum, they teach you how to deeplink images from brickshelf which allows them to be posted on a forum even when the folder is not public yet.
