Matt Dawson Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Just a thought, because no-one else has brought it up yet. In the Toy Story Train, it looks like it has new driving wheels, more suited to smaller steam and shunting locos. They look almost like BBB wheels... Quote
Siegfried Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Aren't they the same as the ones in Emerald Night? Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 I think the wheel in question has been used on the Emerald Night. It's 30mm in diameter. Quote
Matt Dawson Posted January 1, 2010 Author Posted January 1, 2010 It looks smaller in the toy story pic...we'll have to wait until better pictures/release to confirm... Quote

The wheels in that set are arguably too small and look bigger because of the surrounds. Quote

I think I'll agree to the latter statement. and no, I don't own an Emerald Night. Lego is second in my hobby list to model railways, which undoubtedly allow more detail/space ratio. Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 It seems that the Toy Story train doesn't include the flanged versions which will make it hard to keep it on the tracks. Probably not a good train set that one. Quote
Siegfried Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Probably not a good train set that one. Not by itself, but it could be a good way to get more blind wheels if you want to make a 4-8-4 like this; I'd be rather expensive though! Quote
