Hey everyone! This afternoon, my girlfriend and I picked up a clock making kit and built a LEGO clock in the shape of a house! It is fully functional. We will be displaying it on a shelf in the living room.

Enjoy the view!

The color scheme and shape was a joint effort from the two of us. Let me know what you think. :classic:

I love it! Great idea to incorporate the clock mechanism into the farmhouse structure, and interesting choice of colors that work well. Do you have a picture of the backside?

Front-paged!

CUTE and AWESOME at the same time !

Great work 'Jameson42' ! :sweet:

One more thing will send it over the edge would be to PF it and have movement of the minifigs around something on the hour - hard YES - but at least it would be TOTALLY AWESOME then.

Wonderful idea! :cry_happy: And for sure an excellent addition to the decoration of your living-room

Thanks! :classic:

The whole structure kinda just flowed together as we built. We had the idea of just doing a regular looking clock, but then thought, "Well why not add a roof?" and went from there. No backside picture yet, but I'll make sure to take one when I have a chance. Thanks for the front-page! :classic:

Hey, very nice idea and realisation !

The color schem is unusual but it works very well.

Is it you and your girlfriend in front of the house ?

Nope, not us... just a couple. We're not farmers.

I agree, PF would make it very cool. Maybe some day I'll make a full grandfather clock and incorporate that.

Creative use of clock mechanism and bricks!

I LOVE it! Who know what unusual ideas like this are around us?

Who knew? Apparently I did.:classic:

What an Excellent idea and MOC Jameson42 :cry_happy:

Thats one cool clock!

I really like the colours and the little garden at the front is really cool!

Nice job!

Thanks. The garden was designed by my girlfriend. :classic:

Wow, stunning clock! Does it have a alarm feature?:grin:

Sorry, no alarm. The timepiece I used is very basic.

Oh, and here's a detail shot of the backside for you guys:

Very creative. It would have been even better if you'd be able to make the digits out of Lego (but that would be difficult at this scale).

Believe me, I considered that. I'm a purist at heart. It just looks so good with the clock numbers. :-) We almost put 1,2,4,5,7,8,10, and 11 on there, but I think it works well without them.

Just a little update: I picked up a shelf to put the clock on today. The shelf is a bit wider than the clock base, so I made a quick little picnic scene to go alongside.

(No, this isn't my girlfriend and I either)

Very nice and creative work Jameson42!

I really like the colours you've used and that small picnic scene is wonderful!

No excuse for being late now I guess!

It was more symmetrical before, but I like this new modification as well!

It would be easier to see what time it is if the clock would have white pointers?

It's already quite easy to read. The numbers and hands are all very shiny. The pictures don't capture the shine very well.
