Oky Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 (edited) Two words: Toy Story! (Aint it obvious? ) As I have mentioned a couple of timees, I'm a huge PIXAR fan, and Buzz Lightyear is one of the coolest characters ever, so having a minifig and brick-built version of him was always a dream for me, and now it has come true. However, Harry Potter is pretty close, no matter what the sets will look like! HP is a great series of books/movies, and the old sets were filled with awesome figs and parts, so I'm sure a revamp will be epic! Btw, can we now please have a poll for this? Big Cam Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 This is a silly topic, bit with a subtitle like 'please read!', I should have known what I was getting in to... Anyhow, you've left out PoP. which is the one that interests me the most... Steve what he said. PoP is the winner since to me, it's like a replacement for Indie, which rocked. Toy Story is good for one thing. Green minifigs. Quote
B-Lister Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Prince of Persia is the only licensed theme I really think I like. I don't know anything about it, and therefore, I seem to like the sets more. I can't wait to add the ostriches to my collection. I have some Toy Story, I have some Harry Potter, but personally, I think the only License I truly LOVE is Batman. Quote
Ogel Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 LEGO Harry Potter will be my fav of 2010... when it comes out! Of the ones out now though, it'd be Toy Story. Although I only have the Army Men set (so far). Quote
sok117 Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 wait can I change my answer to star wars, technically it is a licensed theme. But I guess Harry potter will be cool to, I collected some of the old sets and they were really cool. Quote
RileyC Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Besides Star Wars I think it would have to be Harry Potter. I like to get the main characters from the licensed themes I like because everything looks better in Lego! Quote
Oky Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 (edited) wait can I change my answer to star wars, technically it is a licensed theme. No, I don't think so. As you can see in the first post, this is specific to all the new licensed themes this year. Besides, we all know that SW is superior to all other themes. Why do we still have no poll for this? Blackheart Brit Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 I am surprised it took so long for someone to mention Star Wars. Toy Story has the Army Men but in my eyes that is it. PoP has a lot of new animals and stuff. Harry Potter should be solid too. Quote
Tereglith Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 (edited) POP is looking pretty cool, with the ostriches and camels. Ben 10 is crap. Toy Story is, I confess, the most levels of meta- that I have ever seen. However, my highest calling as a nerd is, and always will be, Harry Potter, and therefore, just from the set list (Be still my heart! The Burrow!), I think that it will probably be my favorite licensed theme this year. Edited February 7, 2010 by Tereglith Quote
Ravenxl7 Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Definitely Harry Potter. Even though I haven't seen any pictures of the sets yet, lol. I'll probably get at least two of the sets, depending on how they all look. Hogwarts Castle and Hagrid's Hut are the two definites for the time being. If the Burrow turns out good, and has some minifigures the other sets don't have, I might get it too. Same goes for the Dobby's Release, Quidditch Lesson, and Hogwarts Express sets. Star Wars is in a somewhat close second. I've been a Star Wars fan since I was a little kid, and my father took me to see a re-showing of Empire Strikes Back. There's really only two sets I want to get this year. The Slave I set and the Hoth Wampa Attack set. If the rumor that a new AT-AT set is coming out, I may get that too (though I'm also thinking about getting the big $100 AT-AT coming out this year, it's not Lego, but it does look nice). Quote
