sam89 Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Here's a description of Toy Fair 2006 from bluemoose, although they weren't allowed to take pics :( http://www.fbtbforums.net/viewtopic.php?t=10685 Hopefully SOMEONE will get pics up. Quote
MattZitron Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Sounds good. Need pics!!!!!!!! SANTA ARE YOU LISTENING? Sorry having a weord day. Chest infection. Quote
xwingyoda Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Those are the posts that truly exasperate me !!! Tks to FBTB's respect (...), a whole topic with no pics (that I can understand under the current situation), no news, and not even a decent description on some sets that can be of interest to us (new vikings for instance...), future buyers :| Yeah, tks for nothing !!! *yoda* Quote
The Hordesman Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Yeah, tks for nothing !!! *yoda* Agreed. He could just aswell just say "new sets are coming". :P Quote
Cello Collin Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 (Not looking for a fight here, gents. Just making an observation.) Seeing as how the LEGO rep was standing RIGHT THERE when he was looking to take pictures, it makes perfect sense that he was unable to take any. We're as frustrated as you guys are, trust me. It's annoying as hell that some folks at LEGO still aren't aware of that special link so many people are working to establish between the company and the community. What Ian did get for us was certainly better than having nothing... So try and show a little love and appreciation for him doing as much as he can, all right? As for what we DON'T know, I'll put good money down that we'll start seeing pics of new sets soon enough. It's about that time of year for things to start popping up online, anyway. :) Quote
sam89 Posted January 25, 2006 Author Posted January 25, 2006 Agreed, Collin. Bluemoose was probably just as disapointed at not being able to take pics as we are. At least it's good to here what he thought of the sets, and it gets us excited to see pics when we do get them. There's always Nuremberg Toy Fair on February 2nd ;) Quote
Cello Collin Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 At least it's good to here what he thought of the sets, and it gets us excited to see pics when we do get them. Oh, totally. Ian's great about giving his honest opinion, so I was thrilled when he was able to get hooked up for the Fair. I sure hope things are a little better in Nuremburg. And hopefully Ace will be going to New York when that Fair rolls around. He always does, so I'm excited about that. :) Quote
xwingyoda Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Collin, what I said was not to be mean at all !!!! Its so frustrating (especially for Ian I guess) not being able to take pics and do, for free, the PR of a company !!! Fans really want to see pics, thats a fact !!! I thank him for his post though (ok my bad I should have done it on my previous post ;) ) Isn't the NYC toy fair the most important one ??? *yoda* Quote
Zane Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Could he possibly sketch them? EDIT: I just tried to register, and it said my e-mail address was banned! I've never been on FBTB at all before today! EDIT2: Ah, it bans Hotmail accounts.... TT Quote
Vader Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Yes yoda the NY one is seen as the best of them all, pics of that one usually appear pretty quickly. It never ceases to amaze me that lego dont tap into the unlimited advertising that sites like ours can offer, word of mouth has always been the best advertising tool and legos attempts to silence the online world is just crazy from a business point of view. Skinny Boy Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 i just found some pics of the fair. just go to brickshelf and type in toy fair pics. on that screen it says Tilius in the corner  Quote
sam89 Posted February 7, 2006 Author Posted February 7, 2006 Yep, there's already two other threads on those pics Quote
5150 Lego Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Technic - this is going to be a good year for technic fans. A very good year. One of the sets has a retro feel to it, but was described to me as the "hardest Technic build ever". [/qutoe] He must be talking about the tow truck. Enless there somthing else we haven't seen yet...... Quote
