So, what do you do when you receive printed pieces with errors? I usually don't mind if they are minor, like the common R2-head alignment error, but here are some that are kind of annoying:

On my new arc fighter, one of the new white tiles, the smooth 2X4, had black, gray, and red random markings on it, as if some ink splotched on the piece, which shouldn't have been printed at all. It looked really ugly, and I still haven't fixed it.

Also on my old Anakin's yellow starfighter, the cockpit has a black smudge of ink on it, as well as some of the gray is missing.

So what do you do with printing errors? Some are really annoying, while some are perfectly tolerable. I'm not going to do anything with Anakin's fighter because I'd probably just ruin it further, while I'll trie some of that Brasso stuff on the Arc plate.

I've never received misprinted pieces.

can you ask lego customer service for a replacement?

I have also never had any.

but i do belive you can get a replacement pretty easily.

I know of at least two printing errors I happen to own.

One is from the 7676 (I think that's the number) Republic Gunship, one of the clone trooper torsos has a weird line going horizontally straight through the middle.

The other is also a torso, from some SP3 set, the red badge on the chest is much lighter then my other four ones. Not sure if this one is an error, or just a variance from a certain set, but it's still interesting.

Let's just say this, any time I call LEGO up, they answer and greet me by name because I'm always quick to call when I have a problem. When I recently opened my copy of the Town Plan I had sitting in a closet for over a year, I found the sticker sheet was folded in half, and due to this several stickers had come loose and stuck to the inside of the box. There was also a misprint on one of the minifigure heads. I immediately contacted customer service and they replaced both items within a few days. I've had similar experiences with other sets, including the askew R2 heads and I always request a replacement. I spend far too much on LEGO to settle for anything but the best and they have always been extremely kind and quick to serve when I have a problem.
