MagPiesRUs Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 Last week I bought another Stormtrooper battle pack for US$14 (A good deal in NZ...), although it turned out that one of the 'stormtroopers' in the set was a clone trooper Today I also bought the River Chase. A great little set, though it's a shame that two passenegers can't fit in the front seat of the amphibious vehicle. I hope to build up an army of those great Soviet minifigs (At the moment I have more Indys than Russians ) Quote
The Kid Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 I got the Chameleon Hunter, Off-road Fire Rescue (?) and the little £2.99 digger. The EF set is my favourite; so much lime green! TK Quote
LuxorV Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 7783 - Batcave for € 49.90 My first Batman set, btw. LuxorV Quote
Wout Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 one has a pony.. A PONY! I am really excited about the pony. There are 3 paradisa sets total. He's really cute I wish they still make them. I bought yesterday 7620 and 7622 together for only 43 euro. (for the americans that is now +/- 64,50 dollar) the cars are great with many details and the notzies are also very nice. Father Jones is a very nice detailed figure. I like the new window. The motors are also good. Quote
SirNadroj Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 Speed Racer Grand Prix! Only 49.99 at Target! So many possibilities with those figures! Quote
iamded Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 I got the smallest of the Crystal Skull Indy sets. So many accessories! Silver frying pan, banana, chicken leg, 2 knives, 3 cutlasses, a golden katana, 2 new hairpieces, a tent, some foliage, all for a nice cheap price! A great set IMO. ~Peace Quote
Brickmaster Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 I bought the Speed Racer set with Racer X and the Japanese guy. Was on sale for 15 bucks at Target, cool stuff. Quote
hollisbrick Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 Well today I went to Big W and they have all the Indy 4 sets...but the one I wanted the jungle duel. So instead I decided to get the rebel BP. I cant beleive it has taken me this long to get it. I got to say it is pretty good and it was bigger than I expected too Quote
Siegfried Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 Well today I went to Big W and they have all the Indy 4 sets...but the one I wanted the jungle duel. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a Target exculsive in Australia. It isn't on-line either... Quote
Batbrick Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 I wouldn't be surprised if it's a Target exculsive in Australia. It isn't on-line either... I bought mine at Birchalls, so I'm not sure. Batbrick Away! Quote
Siegfried Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 I bought mine at Birchalls, so I'm not sure. Well that's one way of putting it, the other one would be that I'm wrong! In this case I am glad to be though... Quote
Svelte Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Well that's one way of putting it, the other one would be that I'm wrong! In this case I am glad to be though... I've also seen Jungle Duel at K-Mart and Toys R Us had about a million of 'em yesterday as part of their shiny new IJ4 display! On-topic: I bought the Battle Wheel yesterday. 56 new dark brown 2x6 plates! Yay! I actually like it as it's a medium-sized castle set that's NOT a catapult (although it does have one teensy one). Quote
iamded Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Jungle Duel, that's what it's called! Anyway, I guess this belongs here. I've been assembling the sets I got in the big batch of Lego I was given. It totals: 4733: The Dueling Club 8780: Citadel of Orlan 4851: Spider-Man and Green Goblin -- The Origins 4853: Spider-Man's Street Chase 4854: Doc Ock's Bank Robbery 4857: Doc Ock's Fusion Lab 8777: Vladek Encounter And a couple of those little pull-back Racer sets. Spidey ON! ~Peace Quote
voxel Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Hi! I am currently in the States (business took me here), in Las Vegas. I had the intention of buying the Millennium Falcon (the big one), because Euro prices are much more expensive. However - what a disappointment - they did not have it at FAO Schwarz (Forum Shops of Caesar's Palace). My 2nd option, the greengrocer, was not available either. Their Lego section was very small anyhow, but at least they had Cafe Corner. Thus, I wento to the closest Toys'R'Us. And more disappointment - they did NOT have any set that was substantially bigger than the Republic Cruiser. Anyhow, the trip should not have been in vain. Thus I bought: 7672 SW Rogue Shadow 4996 (the yellow house), 2x 7624 Indy set (nice content for a small price) 7733 City transport 7991 City trash truck 4939 (car creator set, small), 2x. All of this for 207 USD incl. tax. And later, I went back to FAO Schwarz and bought the Cafe Corner, which they had. Now I only need to schlep all this stuff over the pond, but I came prepared. Quote
Christian Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 I ordered the following today, all at 20% off: 7625 River Chase 7626 Jungle Cutter 7627 Temple of the Crystal Skull Too bad that they did'nt have 7624. Quote
WhiteFang Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Finally, I have the 4936, Doc and Patient pack. It looks real nice neat with the female doctor! Bought the 7890, City, Ambulance, 7624, Indiana Jones, Jungle Duel 7040, Castle, Dwarf Mine Defender The building experience is wonderful Quote
Stash2Sixx Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 I just actually received my order from Brickforge today, and it was worth every penny!!! Quote

Quarryman Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Just received my 10186 from the fast building competition at Legoworld Oslo Quote
simonwillems Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 A few weeks back (man, I am behind on replying in this thread ) I bought the two smaller Indiana Jones sets, the Race for the stolen Treasure and the motorcycle chase. Great sets, pity that all minifigs are fleshies... At a flee market I bought the oldest set I have up to now, presumably number 700/6 (there was no number on the box) in perfect shiny condition with box and leaflet. According to bricklink this set is from 1954. The bricks are all deformed (because of the different plastic they used back then) and are lacking the clever tubes inside, Lego invented 50 years ago. I was really surprised to find this set in this immaculate condition for only 6,50 euro Quote
CopMike Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Just received my 10186 from the fast building competition at Legoworld Oslo Ok, this tread is called "What did you buy today?", so you can take your 10186 and ..... ! You know that you misplaced that black tap 1 x 1 by at least 90° and who the real winners were ! Seriously though congrats On copmike Quote
Batbrick Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 I don't know if this counts, but I'll go ahead and name a Lego item too. I bought six medium containers to better store my Lego. Only on the way home did I realise I had seven lids, so I checked the receipt and found I was owed another container! Since I'm going into town today I'll get that before I watch Ironman, and maybe the Indy Temple after as Target has a sale! Batbrick Away! Quote
