Kliq Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 I was fiddling around with the few Bionicle figures that I have, and I decided...I really enjoy them! So I made this purchase a little while ago on S@H: 8694 KRIKA 8699 TAKANUVA K8685 Phantoka Collection 8911 TOA MAHRI JALLER 8913 TOA MAHRI NUPARU 8912 TOA MAHRI HEWKII 8914 TOA MAHRI HAHLI The last four are on sale for 5 bucks a piece. Then I was doing some research online about older Bionicle sets, and found three more that are very cool, and can be added to eachother to create a huge dragon. So I bought these all together in one lot on ebay (it was like $80 cheaper than buying the dragon set itself): 8733 Axonn 8734 Brutaka 8764 Vezon & Fenrakk Quite a buy on an impulse, eh? I was originally going to buy some of the new Star Wars sets, but about three of those cost as much as all of this put together. Quote
zero1312 Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 A whole bucket full of minifig parts from a fleamarket, mainly for customizing. Quote

Batbrick Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 I bought the Tumbler: Joker's Ice Cream Surprise FINALLY! Despite naysayers it is a very good set, worth the ice cream truck alone. The bigness is annoying but the parts are fantastic, I might do a review, should I? Batbrick Away! Quote
Dragonator Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Batbrick Away! Oh look, Batbrick's angry, why is he angry? Umm, do I have a reason for posting here? I don't know. Oh yes I do! I pre-ordered all the clone wars sets, whcih I'll go pay the first instalment for this weekend, and also the Castle Advent Calender, which is to be delivered around the 1st of November. Yay for me! Shoc Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Umm, do I have a reason for posting here? I don't know. Oh yes I do! Haha! Now, do I have a reason for posting here? Well, I haven't bought any Lego since Thursday... But about two days ago I did actually build the other one of the sets I bought - 7625 Indiana Jones River Chase. I recommend it to anyone who wants soldiers or a cool car (or dark tree pieces, or lots of foliage). I modded the car to make it less boat like, it is very good looking though! :skull: Quote

Sandy Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 I just won a bid on UK's Ebay for Night Lord's Castle. It's not my favorite castle by far, but it has some great parts I want to use in my MOCs and comic. The only thing that irks me is that the bid started at £0.99, but I ended up paying £29.99 for it. It was my first Ebay bid that I won, though. And soon I will have myself a wicked witch along with an entire castle full of evil Fright Knights! Quote
Erdbeereis Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 The Magna Guard Starfighter on sale at Target for $40. $45 is a bit steep in my opinion on but 40 is fine for this set. It's pretty nice! Quote
baby Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 (edited) I've bought 1x 7676 Republic Gunship, 1x 7675 AT-TE, 1x 7674 V-19 Torrent, & 2x 7679 Republic Fighter Tank. Haven't open up the set yet. Edited August 6, 2008 by baby Quote

My Mega Core Magnetizer was only GBP 19.99... 29.99 is a lot... Pre-ordered 10 advent calenders, there will be village building when they get here. Edited August 6, 2008 by Inertia Quote
Sandy Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Ouch... My Mega Core Magnetizer was only GBP 19.99... 29.99 is a lot... Well, Ebay often isn't as cheap as they say. Many of the starting prices for the bigger sets are ridiculously high. But in my case it wasn't the starting price that was high, but there were a few persistent bidders who also wanted the set, and I had to fight till the final seconds to win the bid, causing the price to climb up very steeply. There was another bid for a big Adventures set, which I bid for £5.00, but which ended in £45.00. I'm glad I didn't go into that race. But I think I've learned my lesson now. Quote
