Dragonator Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 (edited) I was surprised to see all of the Agents sets (Well, Mission 1-6) in stock today - and at 30% off too! I bought Mission 1, and will be returning later today to buy Mission 5... 30% off! What store did you go too? Will the sale still be on now, or was it a one day sale? Now then, what have I bought recently. I just purchased a raffle ticket for the Comic Con Exclusive. But does that really count? Probably not. Anyway, a few days ago I made an order for some rare parts, including trans-clear spears and KK2 swords, a small white pine tree, red pistols, amongst other things. I look forward to receiving them, they cost both my arms, a leg, and some money as well! EDIT: Oh yes, and I just ordered my Premiium Edition Lego Collector's Book. The shipping cost more than the actual book, but hey, I think it will be worth it. Edited August 16, 2008 by Dragonator Quote
MagPiesRUs Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 30% off! What store did you go too? Will the sale still be on now, or was it a one day sale? It was at Farmers, but I think it was a one day sale. 30% off is great though, the biggest sale I had ever seen in NZ was 20%. I've built Mission 5 now, and what a beauty it is! Not only do you get a stunning metalic silver car, but the set has lots of ingenious playability - the siren brick, Spyclops descending down from the helicopter and the ejector seat (which actually works very well, I think) are all brilliant! I'd highly recommend it to any Agents fan. Quote
LuxorV Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Just orederd (two days ago, in reality): Agents - Mission 1 Indy 4 - Jungle Duel Clone Wars - Hailfire Droid & Spider Droid Clone Wars - Separatist Spider Droid Clone Wars - AT-TE Walker Star Wars III - General Grievous Starfighter LuxorV Quote
NewRight Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 A couple days ago I purchased: Agents Mission: 1 and I filled a Pick-A-Brick cup (large) to the brim. What I got in my Pick-A-Brick! Quote
Matn Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 (edited) Last week I bought 8143: Ferrari F430 Challenge 1:17 for 20 EUR, so I bought two and 7784: The Batmobile: Ultimate Collectors' Edition for 40 EUR. And I've discovered I like cars. So, I'll be building some car-moc's later. And 4939: Cool Cars for 7 euro. And my grandparents went to a market: 4915: Mini Construction, a little bag of random cool parts, Toa Jaller (he's cool!), Onua Nuva, three Knight's Kingdom Bionicle-thingies and Jack Stone vehicles (nice for the tires?). And my latest BL-order with a lot of bley and 422 tan bricks. Edited August 18, 2008 by Matn Quote
maiq the liar Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Rockoh's modern life T3. Not a bad set, i must say. Quote
Justin2224 Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Droid Gunship. Instead of 4 horizantal grip arms, I got 3 and 4 Vertical and an extra gun, so that was preety nice. And I'm not putting a droid in the 'cockpit', because they Droid Gunship is a Droid, therefore flies itself. So of the new Clone Wars sets I have 1 Republic Gunship, 1 Droid Gunship, and 2 Separatist Spider Droids. Quote
WhiteFang Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 I have just bought my second Giant Castle Chess set. I am broke for this month. Quote
CopMike Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 I have just bought my second Giant Castle Chess set. I am broke for this month. Eeh, can you use substitutes if your pieces are taken out ?I bought three of these: and two large PaB cups and some other stuff at the LEGO shop in Orlando. Going back tomorrow, monday, tuesday for more stuff ! And I got a $5 off ticket in the LEGO quiz they had, I had the answer to every question but wasn't allowed to answer more than one ! voxel Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 (edited) Hi! I bought three of these: Interesting. Do you have a pink FBG MOC in the pipeline? ;) And remember: You'll have to schlep home all the stuff; I hope you have a second suitcase with you. The airlines are no longer tolerant about the slightest overweight ... To remain on topic: Today, I got an Amazon package containing my 50 years LEGO catalogue. Edited August 24, 2008 by voxel Quote
WhiteFang Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Eeh, can you use substitutes if your pieces are taken out ? Actually, I intend to keep the second set as MISB for a long time. Because the first set which I had bought was not totally MISB. In fact, there is supposed to be a handle on the outer layer of the box. The shopkeeper took out the box, and I thought that was supposed to be the orignal packaging. I believe I can find some to replace it. I want to go to Orlando and take a bucket and filled it up with bricks. You can go back everyday to take the quiz and claim the prize if possible. Quote
Matn Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 5988 The Temple of Anubis for 18 euro, a few parts are discolored and the faces are a bit ruined, and the mummy is missing: but wow, it's a fantastic set for its money! And these for 8,50 euro: 6525 Blaze Commander 6516 Moon Walker 6546 Slick Racer (i opened it: two racers in the box) 6538 Rebel Roadster Quote
Fluyt Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 I just bought the sails from IMTP - 6277 +some extra's for 11€. Could've probably gotten them cheaper, but I really wanted them and they aren't put up for sale that often. Quote
BrickBot Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 I purchased the Chum Bucket for $15 and Mrs. Puff's Boating School for $20. I found both on clearance at Wal-Mart. Quote

Zarkan Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 (edited) Well, today I made my first Bricklink order in several years. Since I plan to buy all the Farm sets next year, I've been getting ready to make a display with them that also features some other things like a field of grain. The order I made today mainly consisted of over 240 yellow 1x1 bricks that I'll be using to represent the stalks of grain. Plus, I ordered a few extra goodies for my town, and even a couple Bionicle Krana. And best of all - I got all of this for less than 3 dollars (not including shipping). It's really funny though, because the order was made from a store that had all its items on sale for 24 hours only. Weird how that worked out, but I don't care - because 1X1 bricks for half a cent each rocks! I though I was going to have to pay at least a cent for each. Edited August 26, 2008 by Grevious Quote
Holodoc Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Bargain time! I have been to a local flee market almost next to my house. The last time they didn´t have anything Lego related so I wasn´t expecting too much, but I was wrong. There were two young men who seemed to have cleared their basement. Two paper boxes with (really dusty) Lego! It took me 15 minutes and this was what I fished out of the buckets: Oh - I paid 2,50€ for that! Quote
legotrainfan Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 (edited) I've just bought two brand new 10153 train motors for 29.95 euro each on eBay. Not a bad price! I mean they normally tend to be more expensive now since they are out of production. It was a buy-it-now purchase. Edited August 27, 2008 by legotrainfan Quote
Sandy Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 (edited) For the last few weeks, I've been buying Harry Potter sets from Ebay like crazy! I'm now a proud owner of: 4701 Sorting Hat 4702 The Final Challenge 4704 The Room of Flying Keys 4705 Snape's Class 4706 Forbidden Corridor 4709 Hogwarts Castle (still waiting for it to arrive by mail, though) 4712 Troll on the Loose 4726 Quidditch Practice (waiting for this one as well) 4729 Dumbledore's Office (got two of these unintentionally while trying to get even one, don't know what to do with the other one yet - and neither of them has arrived to me yet) 4731 Dobby's Release (still waiting...) 4735 Slytherin 4752 Professor Lupin's Classroom Prior to that, I only owned two HP sets: 4750 Draco's Encounter with Buckbeak 4755 Knight Bus But I still hunger for more!!! Actually, I'm doing a comic for my boyfriend's Harry Potter -fansite out of these babies, so don't look at me like that. Edited August 27, 2008 by Sandy Quote
Commander Andrew of 501 st Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Went to Wally World today and bought: 7037 Tower Raid and 7624 Jungle Duel. The latter is a good parts pack Quote
Brainbox Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Treated myself to Volcano Base the other day, after getting £40 for helping out at college Thursday and Friday last week. Great set. I also picked up 6163 A World of Lego Mosaic on offer for only £6 last week. For 600 pieces, that's hardly bad, and most of those are the ever useful 1x1 bricks. And it had two of those wonderful trans clear baseplates. Quote

Sandy Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Holy... cow! What did you pay for it if I may ask? Holy cow indeed! I paid just about 200 euros for all of them, not counting delivery. Needless to say, I'm quite broke now. Quote
