Today I went and paid off my lay-by on some sets, this is what I got:

2x Separatist Spider Droid (7681)

1x Magna Guard Starfighter (7673)

1x V-19 Torrent (7674)

2x Republic Fighter Tank (7679)

1x AT-TE Walker (7675)

1x Sandcrawler(10144)

1x Boeing 787 Dreamliner (10177)

Now I'm definitely broke, especially after the last couple of on-line orders I made. These included one to the Little Armoury (I got the first order on their new site!) as well as a couple of Bricklink orders. Well, back to the drawing board I guess!

Just a pair of Racers (4590) that seem to date back a few years.

Great pull-back motor action!

They had a few Vikings kits that I hadn't seen anywhere else and didn't realise were still generally available.

Well, last weekend my family got to spend a couple days at a beachhouse in Massachusets, and on the way home we visited the huge mall in Natic - where I finally got to visit a lego store! I used the opportunity to buy a large Pick A Brick crammed full with stuff for my town and upcoming farm display, as well as the 2005 street sweeper kit. All in all, a wonderful way to end my vacation.

Don't worry, I make my living as a lawyer. If you want everything... make me an offer...

I hate to say that a 4955 Big Rig was added later today so take that in mind if you intend to make a bid.

Well today: Nothing

But yesterday, I found the TECHNIC/Expert Builder Set 8841 (1983): Desert Racer at a flea market

Instructions in great shape and in box. Missed five pieces, mostly plates, but easily replaced with the help of my own ca. 80000 piece collection.

And besides that NONLEGO stuff: The records Out of the Blue by ELO (1977) and Defenders of the Faith (1984) by Judas priest. Listened to them while doing a review to the 8841 set, today. Fit nicely, since the records were about from the same era like the set.

Did they still have these older sets in the toys'r'us Venlo?

Some of them are 6 years old?

I was fortunate enough to find some really old sets MISB for a bargain today. Via her daughter I got in contact with an old lady that had two sets lying in her attic for many, many years. Through an online Dutch marketplace she offered them: I placed a bid of 60 euros and was happy to hear that I could pick them up today at her house in the middle of nowhere. Here are the sets: both, as said, Mint In Sealed Box.

The first batch was picked up at TRU Arnhem. Venlo does not have a TRU as far as I know. The Hoth Rebel Base and Republic Cruiser were still available at the Arnhem store, although there were not many left. These are from 2007 and becoming hard to find already.

The other 2 batches were picked up at a local Top1Toys nearby. I knew they had some old stuff on the shelves but did not buy these sets earlier. With the discount they gave me, I reckoned they were reasonably priced and I decided to buy them all. The Sail Barge is also not that old, I believe it is from 2006 but out of production. They were lucky finds as I remembered they still had these on the shelves when I was there in January. Fortunately, they were still there when I revisited the store this past week.

In fact, they still have quite a few older HP sets but also sets from themes such as Aquazone, Aquaraiders, Adventurers (mostly Orient Expedition and Dino Island), Spyrius, Batman, Spiderman, Castle Knights Kingdom I, Studio, Belville, NBA, that kind of stuff. Nothing that's left is very spectacular, especially since I raided the store a year or so back and left with € 1.200 worth of Lego (and I did not get a discount but I was happy that I found all this in a store). I found many older SW sets (including 7171 Mos Espa Pod Race), a few nice HP sets (including 3x Escape from Privet Drive), the largest Ninja set (6093 Flying Ninja Fortress) and many other nice items.

Now I can't wait till they arrive

Got some scala/bellvile items today. Some flowers (including 2 butterflies and a ladybug), flowerpot, carrots, and this rare/expensive beauty:

A large Bricklink order to finish my Latest MOC, a japanese style garden. Lots of flowers and other plant parts, plus dark bley slopes for rocks.

Oh, and 300 Trans-Clear 1x2 plates...

Now to patiently wait for it to arrive.

Recently bought this year's two advent calendars, plus a pair of 9V train motors at reduced price just over 200 SEK each. Order ended at just over 1000 SEK, including shipping.

Today I finally got a couple of lots I bought earlier this summer on ebay.co.uk, which I had sent to a guy I know in London (the sellers only wanted to ship inside the UK). Mainly bought them for monorail parts, but it looks like I got an almost complete 6399 Airport Shuttle too. I'm certainly not complaining
