Fluyt Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Bought myself a 6289 - Red Beard Runner today :), now I'll just wait till it ships and arrives. Quote
Shoc Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 I was going to go to Legoland Windsor today, but actually I'm now going tomorrow. I will definitely get Lego there. Probably Exo-Force and Batman. Well, I went to Legoland today, and I did buy a smaller Exo-Force set (strangely they only had last year's sets) and... last year's only Harry Potter set, Hogwarts - Hell yeah! It's weirdly designed but a really good set for pieces, I thought I would never be able to get it, but it was cheaper, at £44.99. I haven't opened it yet, but I will build it soon. :skull: Quote
VBBN Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Me and Exobuilder sorted out a trade today: I am sending him the following: Ashoka Tano, Anikan's hair, a dwarve beard, And omplete Chameleon Hunter with minifig. And he is giving me: Quote
Batbrick Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Bought the Troll warship the other day and loved it. The troll leader is so cool with that awesome armour, and the ship is very nice too with brilliant parts. Batbrick Away! Quote
Eilif Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 I guess in a trade, an item is "bought" when you mail off your half of a trade. By that criteria, I just baught a Large size US Postal Service Flat Rate Box (12x12x5 inches) filled with LEGO. In exchange, I gave some Gaming stuff: Void 1.1 gamebox contents, 25mm Grendel APC, and Kryomek rulebook. I've done a couple of these exchagnes, where I trade stuff for a specified volume of LEGO. I'm really getting to enjoy the mystery of recieveing a box filled with LEGO, and not knowing what you will be surprised with. Quote
Guss Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 yesterday I bought the 7092 and 4954 set, now I have a scared face yay! Quote
Fluyt Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Got 2 oldgray 9v switches today (left and right), mostly bought them because they where fairly cheap I think (17€ incl. shipping), but I might just venture into trains sometime (unfortunately I only have a freight train set, but since trains are pretty expensive most of the time, this 'll have to do). hollisbrick Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Antarctica? Umm, anyway, I haven't bought any Lego recently, the last set I bought was on my last day in Switzerland, at the end of August. That was the Bellville set with the useful dogs. I was going to go to Legoland Windsor today, but actually I'm now going tomorrow. I will definitely get Lego there. Probably Exo-Force and Batman. :skull: How did you know Quote
Shoc Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 How did you know Seriously though, was it meant to be obvious where you bought it? Because Antarctica was the only place I could think of. :skull: Quote
hollisbrick Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Seriously though, was it meant to be obvious where you bought it? Because Antarctica was the only place I could think of. :skull: Umm, kinda, depends who read it. I was a joke between me and some one else.. Quote

Eilif Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 I traded gaming stuff for another box of LEGO today. This should be arriving about Tuesday: That's 8 one gallon ziplocks! The box dimensions are: 18"x12.5"x8.5" Yaay, more random LEGO! Quote
Shoc Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Umm, kinda, depends who read it. I was a joke between me and some one else.. Oops, my bad. I guess you are much closer to Antarctica than I am though. I traded gaming stuff for another box of LEGO today. This should be arriving about Tuesday: That stuff looks pretty cool, I can't make out what much of it is, but it's Lego so it should be good. :skull: Quote
Eilif Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 (edited) That stuff looks pretty cool, I can't make out what much of it is, but it's Lego so it should be good. My thoughts exactly! Who the heck knows exactly what's in there, but it is LEGO. One thing I do know though, the trader showed me a picture of the bin of parts before he broke it down and bagged it up, and even though he has taken out all the minifigs, I saw a cloud car in there! Sandy Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Since it was salary day at the end of last month again, I got around buying some more sets, of course! No more Harry Potter this time, though (or at least not yet - I have my eye on the Azkaban-version of Hogwarts Castle). I got 6098 King Leo's Castle - yay for my first elevated baseplate and for the warrior princess and the queen - and 1382 Scary Laboratory, which has an awesome set of minifigs and accessories as well. I also purchased the much-anticipated 7979 Castle Advent Calendar, for the minifigs as well, and Rotta the Huttlet and Anakin Skywalker minifigs from the new Star Wars: the Clone Wars line (I had a bid on Ahsoka, Obi Wan and Assaaj Ventress minifigs as well, but I lost them ). But yeah, I'm a happy owner of many-a-new LEGO sets now! Quote
Wout Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 (edited) I bought a ticket for Legoworld Zwolle in the Netherlands. Only 13 nights sleeping. edit: Oops! that is not really lego. It's only related. Sorry. Edited October 3, 2008 by Wout Quote
MagPiesRUs Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 I bought Mission 8: Volcano Base yesterday for 25% off, and what a wonderful set it is. The landscaping on the volcano looks great, the laser cannon is brilliant and although the interior is somewhat lacking, I still love it. Great set, I'd highly recommend it. Quote
VBBN Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 (edited) Yesterday my first part of the trade with Exobuilder arrived... Sorry for the blurriness, fogot to resave them as pngs. Everything was awesome! A lot of the torso are dual sided. Thanks bud! VBBN Edited October 4, 2008 by ~VBBN~ Quote
Fluyt Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 (edited) Got 10 straight 9v tracks today . Now I'll hope I won't be needing to buy another (expensive) motor and/or regulator for my train (anyone know if they break easily?, and if they do break, are they easy to repair?). Edited October 4, 2008 by Fluyt Quote
Sandy Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Gah, my heart's still pounding! I just won an incredibly tight bidding race for the 2nd Hogwarts Castle - the final price was just 53 GBP! You guys can expect to see the ultimate Hogwarts-MOC coming from me by the end of this year! Quote
Legoman Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Well, a few weeks ago i finally brought a 10179 UCS illenium falcon. And a couple of days ago i got a 7186 Watto's junkyard. Quote
Dragonator Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 I've just got back from my trip to Australia, and althoug I didn't find my beloved Castle Chess Set anywhere, I did buy a couple of other sets. First, I bought the Republic Gunship because it was on sale and was cheaper than I could get in NZ, even with the exchange rate and all. Then I later bought the 4995 Creator Helicopter set, mainly because I needed the three 2x2 light bley plates inside it for my castle MOC (which will be finished in the next few days). I do like the set as well of course. Lastly, I bought a Good Wizard set (5614), because I haven't seen it in NZ for months and I wanted another. Also, before I left, I won the 6267 Lagoon Lock-Up (from 1991) on eBay, complet with instructions and box. I just hope the pieces are all in good condition. Next on ly list are Town Plan and Green Grocer, I just need to raise enough money first! Quote
Lego12 Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 I didn't buy anything today, but my brother got the Creator Beach House! Lego12 Quote
Batbrick Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Bought the Castle Tower Siege set, I must say i really love it. The leader Orc is great and both towers are lovely, a nice contrast between the two. The action features on the Siege Tower are really awesome too. Batbrick Away! Quote
