I just bought the 50 year anniversary brick set #5522 after putting it off for a while. It's not exciting in itself, but I need some bricks to make supports for my MOC I need to start and finish by Friday. Anyway, it looks like a cool set, especially since it has a gold brick in it, and great value too, pulling in at 50NZD for 700 bricks or so. It's just unfortunate there are never any Christmas sales on Lego in New Zealand. :pir-hmpf_bad:

Anyway, I also saw that my local supplier has finally got hold of some of the USC AT-STs, so I think I may be getting myself one of those fairly soon. I need to start my lay-by on the Falcon too, as well as a couple of other sets (Green Grocer, General Grevious etc.). Yeah, I'm already broke, and I still have all the 2009 sets to look forward to!!

Hah, dream on!

I still can't believe how lucky I got - getting all these sets separately would've cost a small fortune!

Wow, nice haul you got there! These sets are really cool, I absolutely love the Orient Expedition sets, I picked them all up back when they first came out, and I'm glad I did. You got them all for an excellent price, especially getting the Dragon Fortress in there as well (my favourite set in the series by the way  ). I just love all the nifty play elements they have in all the sets, and the fact that they follow a story line with comics etc is cool too. Have fun building them! :sweet:

I'm probably getting The Bionicle Vorox and Zesk tomorrow.

If they don't have either or one of those, I'm getting a Pirates set. (Maybe even Power Miners...I think they're not as bad as you guys make them seem.)

I'm just back from a US pre-Christmas shopping trip and picked up what I think are all the new pirate sets, the three small creator sets with minifigures (one with a pirate, knight or fireman), and the small city farm set (the range-rover jeep with horsebox). I also managed to flat pack a few extra star wars sets into the cases including a sand crawler for $99 (not bad for European prices). I've seen some references elsewhere to large sets being on sale in stores such as Target etc. but I found the selection generally disappointing at the likes of Target, Walmart and ToysruS. The star wars sets (e.g. Republic gunship) in particular didn't look particularly cheap when considered in light of recent Argos Lego price reductions here in Ireland and the UK. The Lego store in Santa Clara California got the huge order. Thumbs up to the manager there who allowed me to fill up those special Christmas pick-a-brick boxes (you get one for every $75 spent) there and then rather than waiting a few weeks given that I was an overseas visitor.

A few mates and I had a lego get-together yesterday. One of the guys there (12 or 13 year old), well his cousin won a Gold C-3PO free from the lego club (50 were given away in NZ). And his cousin traded it with him for a couple of other figures, then he traded it with me for a $20 City plane

I've been trying to get hold of one for a good price ever since they became available... :hmpf_bad:

Yea same here.

I hope I manage to get a Vader to go beside him :cry_happy:

ANYWAY today i opened up a couple of Indiana jones jungle cutters(i brought them 1/2 price ($45) at the warehouse) origanilly brought to keep MISB long term as an investment. But i decided to make part of a KASYYYK MOC from them (they're great part packs)

EDIT: Just brought a MISB 6392 Airport on Trademe for $30NZ (cheapest MISB in BL is $285US) :cry_happy:

As you can tell, I'm having a great Week!
