What did you buy today?

I got 7196 Chauchilla Cemetery Battle and 7197 Venice Canal Chase from a little store called The Sentry. I walked in, and to my left there was a pile of the cardboard boxes with purple stripes, so I looked for the numbers and just asked him to one of each out for me. They are very nice there.

Yesterday I got the Cave Crusher. It's AMAZING. One of the best sets of the year, IMO. The only cons I can think of are an extra miner and beefing up the midle section a bit. I also found it at Kmart which isstrange because I thought it was exclusive.

Oh, yes. I love my grandparents! They got me this big bag of LEGO pieces from a huge carboot sale/flea market (rommelmarkt) and I like it! I've cleaned it and I am now going to sort it and make the possible sets that are in it.

They said the people who sold it also had other bags of LEGO and baseplates. I think with all those bags and baseplates you could make all the sets. These are the ones that are in it, although not complete (at first sight, do you spot others?):

- 6597: Century Skyway: (only) helicopter, airplane and control tower

- 6571: Flame Fighters: whole set, except for figures and baseplate

- 4714: Gringott's bank: some parts, including the goblins, yay.

So, consider me very happy. :) I'll make what I can make out of it, but I'll probably part it out. And yay for first Fabuland figure, in new condition.

Just five boxes:

7632 : City Crawler Crane (present for a friend)

7667 : Dropship (had to get an extra 'spare' before they all get sold out)

7669 : Anakins Starfighter (A few Euros off list price and another R2!)

8015 : Assassins Battle Pack (realised that I didn't have one - so just for the collection)

Game : Lava Dragon (surprisingly good game with a great amount of playtime - recommended)

Might go back next week to pick up a couple of boxes of Hailfire droids.

Recently my mom and I went to some local yardsales, and I happened to find an almost complete Insectoids 6919 Planetary Prowler that I bought for two dollars! I already owned this set, but my first copy has a lot of the parts glued together (don't ask, horrible child memory), so I'll be using the new copy as a display copy and junk the old one for parts.

Oh, and did I mention that it had a few extra pieces in it, like some extra palm tree leaves and a bush?

I was at Wal-mart today and they had some of the new SW. Echo base was sold out though. They had the sep. shuttle, Battle of Endor, tank droid, Anakin's Y-wing, and Midi falcon though. I got the corporate alliance tank droid and the two SPIII impulses.

Bought Ambush in Cairo the other day as well like a few others (discounted price at Target). I really don't mind the sword since I can just use it in one of my troll MOCs. The torsos are actually pretty good for Jedi robes as well.
