Got myself 4 of these today:

This torso reminds me of the torso from Macross. Not sure what I'm going to do with it for now but I suspect a custom squad of elite stormtroopers or clone troopers.

Stuff at TRU on sale for the 'Bricktober' promotion.

Four copies of #8111 - River Dragon for $4.66/ea

One copy of #6243 - Brickbeard's Bounty for $74

Not bad for a quick evening visit to TRU.

I just placed a BrickLink order including these interesting pieces:

Duplo Wear Cloth Bear Skin with Neck Opening

Minifig, Head with Werewolf Pattern

Panel, Decorated 1 x 2 x 2 with X-Ray Skeleton Legs / Machinery Pattern

Now I just need to find some way to use these in a MOC (which shouldn't be so hard)!

I made use of the Bricktober sale at TRU and got myself Granite Grinder, Sep Shuttle, and Rep Attack Shuttle - all at 15% off. :classic: Those were the only sets that I wanted and which didn't have overly inflated prices. However, I think I will return the Grinder because I still ended up paying more for it than I would if I bought it at the Lego store. :hmpf_bad: It's just a few cents, but who knows, maybe a better sale will come around for this one.

What sucks is that I can't allow myself to open them until I know for sure that these wont be the 30% discounted items of the second, third, or fourth week of bricktober. :sceptic:

I received my Winter Toy Shop today! Though it will remain in its packaging until december... :classic:

I'm doing that to my advent calendar as well. The time just isn't right for these winter scenes yet.

I just got back from the LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary event (read all about it here), and here's what I got:

  • Separatist Shuttle ($30 USD)
  • chrome silver stormtrooper magnet ($10 USD)
  • chrome gold minifigure keychain ($5 USD)
  • firefighter impulse set ($3.50 USD)
  • policeman impulse set ($3.50 USD)

I was very surprised when I saw the chrome gold minifig keychains. There were over 20 on the keychain rack (someone took like 15 out after I looked at it the first time :look:), and they are the exact same ones that were given away with a $75 purchase not too long ago. :sweet:

Now all I need is a chrome gold C-3PO to finish my chrome minifig collection!

Whoa that is awesome! :oh:

I really wish they had stuff like that around here. Either that or the "put as many LEGO sets in your shopping cart in 1 minute" and all the ones you get in you keep
