Big Cam Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Now where on earth did you find that? I couldn't wait anymore, with prices moving up quickly, I bought 11 zombies from bricklink last night. Make that 12 zombies, turns out he had one more opened. Quote
Scorpio Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 WOW! You're serious? All I bought was some bulk brick. Yeah, I couldn't pass it up. Add to that the level crossing and another tanker truck today. I think I'm done buying for the next month but we'll see how long that lasts. Quote
Oky Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Just scored two Toy Story alien space ship promos at TRU, along with a Lunar Limo at (almost) 50% off! They had a whole bunch of the promos (they're 4$ and by the Lego section), and I'll be back for more! They also had all the Hero factory sets, Plo Koon's JSF, and some train sets. Quote
Dunjohn Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 I got two more Zombies, meaning I've reached my target army size... but I've just learned of two new shopping centres in this city I'm temporarily living in so I'll check them out over the weekend. Quote
MrTools Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Well, i stopped at Toys R Us today, just to see what they had, and to my surprise they had the Indy Canal chase and the $10 ambush set. I really debated on getting them as there was only one of each on the shelf, and i have been saving my money to get GE or FB in a few weeks. So after thinking about it, and my parents kind of pushing me to get them i decided to pick them up. Much to my luck they said if i am short on money when we stop at the Lego store they would loan me anything extra to pay off later. Quote
-JD- Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 8129 AT-AT 2x Droid Tri-Fighters for half price! Quote
SilentMode Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Celebrated getting paid by buying 13 collectible minifigs, from two branches of WH Smiths. The second time around a staff member helped me out with getting a magician and a nurse, thanks to the barcodes. 2 x spaceman (which turned out to be not as good as I thought) 2 x cowboy 1 x wrestler 1 x zombie 1 x clown (again :( ) 1 x forestman 1 x crash dummy 1 x caveman 1 x ninja 1 x magician 1 x nurse Because I haven't had any luck doing trades on EB, they've gone straight to BrickLink (except for the ninja, magician and nurse, which I'm keeping). Quote
dr_spock Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Picked up a Ninja, Crash Test Dummy, Skater, and another Nurse. Quote
Sisco Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 I bought two spider web pieces off of Ebay for 2.59 USD, because I had a little money left on my Paypal account that was just sitting there. Quote
Matn Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Not counting the Collectable Minifigures, I finally bought some LEGO since 7 months ago. I always thought the piglet wouldn't look good, but it looks great in real life. Now I'm not so sure anymore whether to buy some Brickforge piglets, as those are more simple and in a classic LEGO style. Oh, well, probably not as the official ones look better than I thought. Now I should get that set with the piglets and the tractor. Quote
Sandy Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 I just spend a few sweaty moments in my neighboring deparment store going through the Collectable Minifigs boxes they had put on the LEGO shelf. This was the first time I saw them anywhere in Finland, so of course I immediately had to print out the barcode list and search for the 11 minifigs I was missing (got a Clown, a Wrestler, a Forestman and a Ninja during my trip to America, and won a Skater from the minifig-backdrop contest here). I was just glad it's Sunday, so there weren't that many families to witness my frentic bag-searching. I came home with 11 bags, but as me and my boyfriend opened them up, it turned out I had made one mistake, so I got two Cowboys and no Indians. Oh the irony, eh? But no worries, there were still plenty of bags left in the store after my raid, so I'll go snatch that missing minifig some other day. At least now I've got all the sweet, sweet minifigs I wanted from the series - the Forestman, the Cheerleader, the Nurse, the Skater, the Clown and the Caveman. The others are of course neat as well. SilentMode Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Purely on impulse, 7 more series 1 minifigs from Argos. Not pleased... 3 x astronaut 2 x skater 1 x crash dummy 1 x cowboy Quote

SilentMode Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Was on the way home from work, and somehow ended up in Edmonton (a lot further north than I'd like). While I was there I stopped in the giant Tesco to get something to eat, and saw they had... collectible minifigs! With the help of an Android app, I picked out two zombies and two nurses. I felt so much better that I got what I wanted this time: I almost ended up with another scuba diver. I also bought some BrickArms weapons (courtesy of minifigforlife.com) for my modular armoury project, as well as several pieces from BrickLink for another project. Quote
ILikePi Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 I got two copies of 30070 today: I found about 40 at my TRU, in the same spot mhuffman said they were in. I ended up buying 2, and I also got a dad to buy one for his 5 year old son by telling him about how it's a promotional item that won't last long. Maybe I should buy more later on...they're going for $7-$8 each on BrickLink, so this could be a good investment. Hopefully they'll still be there when another buy 1 get 1 50% off deal is on. (They were $4 each, by the way) Quote

Plastemaurer Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Today I bought a whole box of Collectable Minifigures Series 1 at a local real,- supermarket. Quote
zero1312 Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Got Hero Factory Xplode, Meltdown, Corroder, Thunder Natalie Breez, Duncan Bulk and Jimi Stringer recently. And I love them. A worthy successor of Bionicle. Quote
vexorian Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 This week my first bl order arrived: Two of these fellows: Yesterday my brother and I went to the local resale fair and I found this guy: I love it, even though its mask has some scratches, though it turns out it is fairy inexpensive in bl. Quote
Scorpio Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Borders enticed me with a 40% off coupon so I picked up Woody's Roundup for $32. Quote

I've looked everywhere for them, TRU, Asda, Tesco, Sainsburys, Toymasters, WH Smiths, Local toyshops & never come across them or the 2 Kingdom impulse sets!! Last week I picked up 2 Daily Mirror Toy Story 3 Woody's camp out (30072) & 1 Buzz's Mini ship promotional packs free with the paper Edited July 24, 2010 by escortmad79 Quote
