The Burrow!

So for my B-day (I was given this stuff early because I'm going camping on my B-day) I got:

8098 - The Clone Turbo Tank

8095 - General Grievous Starfighter

looks like you got quite a bit of building ahead of you, thats just the way I like it

Lunch. It was lemonade and a couple tornadoes.

Oh... you mean Legos...

I wish I could spend my money on bricks... unfortunately there's this stuff called rent, food, utilities and gas for the car.

=(

Wait, Gas? On the car? Why you just wont use your own farts

Man... I wish. Then I could afford to buy brick sets. That's okay, I have an unlimited supply of virtual bricks and my comic keeps me busy... although this week they decided to upgrade the code at my host site and I haven't been able to put up any comics this week. D=<

Barnes and Noble is having a sale, 10% off. On top of that, there was a coupon code and they had a buy 2 get 1 on a limited number of sets. Hogwarts Castle is one of them, so a lot of people are scooping them up at a double discount PLUS 3 for 2, as reported on FBTB.net.

Myself, I don't want three and don't want to spend the extra money (regardless of what a great deal it is), so I ended up getting one for $91, FREE shipping, plus tax.

I also ordered the Hogwarts Express (completes the new set of HP sets for me), Sponge Bob Good Neighbors at Bikini Bottom set (don't ask me why, I like Spongebob, and am planning a fun underwater section of my railroad layout). While I was at it I got some more collectible minifigures, for no particular reason.

1 Spartan.

Worked out great...needed one and I happened to check a place that didn't previously have the figs and there was an almost full box sitting on the counter.

Price sucked ($4.99 CDN) but, since I didn't have to take the bus anywhere, it saved me the bus fare, so it was actually cheaper than I would have otherwise paid.

Funny thing is though, I didn't have my barcode sheet with me, but I had memorized the Spartan barcode "just in case". I'm glad I did! LOL!

Not today, but last night I ordered these sets from S@H home, because I had a code to use for free delivery on orders over £25:

- 8403 City House

- 40012 Pumpkin

- 40013 Ghost

- 40014 Bat

It arrived today, just 4 days after ordering!

I don't know whether to build the 8403 tonight or save it to build until Christmas, HELP!

Where?

Where?

That most-hated of toy stores...ToysToysToys...at Scarborough Town Centre. If you can, avoid THEM and go to Mastermind. They've had tons every time I've been there. Call ahead to check though. Ask if they have any boxes in the back, too. They're quite nice about it...and the price at Mastermind is still only $2.99 vs $4.99 at T3 (which is better than the $9.99 they were charging for series one, but still...)

Yeah, the box of figs looked pretty new...was quite full and I snagged a Spartan with ease.

BTW...when looking for the Spartan, I've found two different box set-ups...a) all three figs in the left row, or b) two figs in the middle row and one in the right row.
