This morning visited Morleys in Brixton, and bought four S3 minifigures. My game was off because I'd picked a rapper and pilot instead of a hula girl and gorilla suit - but at least it wasn't a sumo or race driver!

I went to the retail stores and had a shooting spree using my upcoming birthday as an excuse:

7707 - Striking venom

8101 - Claw crusher

7303 - Jet scooter.

The speeder and the claw crusher are nice little speeder/mech for the price.

Novastar and I noticed three 6754 tan creator houses in the bargain bin at smyths, £34.99 down from £59.99 woot

Sounds like a good deal, but my nearest Smyths toy store is about 30 miles away!

That is an amazing deal! Wow! :classic:

Yeah, I know... it used to cost US$ 109.00 back in the mid-90's.

Actually my everyday goal is to get the Lego I want as cheap as possible. I don't mind if I have to wait months or even several years until I get hold of a set I really want as long as I'm paying the most cheapest possible price. And if it's just a certain piece or minifig I need from a set I use BL.

how do you find such good deals?

To be honest I developed a special way of searching for Lego on eBay over the years and that's how I'm finding such bargains. You don't need to be a genius to find them and it doesn't take more time than the usual eBay search...

Splurged a little today. Won a few auctions on the eBay. Picked up 3 duplicate sets , 7637 Farm for $85 + $14.95 ship, 7684 Pig Farm for $24.99 + $9.99 ship, 7994 City Harbor w/ 3177 Small Car for $150 + $20ship, and one I didn't have 7739 Coast Guard Patrol Boat and Tower w/ 5621 CG Kayak for $68.99, shipped w/ 7994. Not perfect in price, but not to bad for these discontinued sets. :classic:

As I collect more elves from Series 3, I bought a few more Elf items from Brickforge - blades, helmets (which, of course, negates the need for elf hair), a couple miscellaneous pieces.

I've just bought 4840 The Burrow for 25% off from Amazon UK, it was £46.71 instead of the RRP of £61.99.

This set arrived today and I've now built it and I think that's excellent, both the building and the minifigs are great. :classic:

Bought a childs Lego collection after seeing an advert. Included are some Star Wars sets, City sets, Coastguard sets & a lot of dross (Megab*ll*x, toy cars etc)

Just need to sort out the underbed storage box & toolbox to determine what there is.
