gratefulnat Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 As a complete LSW fan I broke down and got emerald night 10194, what a beauty I think it's time to start broadening my LEGO horizon Quote
Legofan4ever88 Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 I bought 2 lego orange bowl hair cut pieces, an angry face exoforce head, a happy face head(these parts are for 2 whiskey tango heads. i'm a huge RC comic fan) plus 3 light blue and 3 pink flowers from "FindMyBrick" on ebay yesterday. Paypal is processing. I also have 2 free lego horses coming in from lego. I emailed asking when/if more horses would come into stock on the site(I was planning on buying a couple) and said how heading to a lego store isn't an option since it's a 4-6+ hour drive to the lego store(I was 100% honest) and I got a response saying they're sending me 2 so I "don't have to worry about driving to a LEGO store, or waiting for the status of the part to change". Talk about a real bargin. Plus I have plans of buying 5 hair pieces, 5 heads, 7 torsos, 7 pants, 6 flower stems(the ones that go w/ the flowers, a few lego series 4 figures, and I'm thinking about maybe a keychain from legoshop.com. Unless something unforseen arises, I will be putting money on a greendot card tomorrow. Quote
Legoman Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Another bricklink order (hopefully my last) for my latest MOC Quote
Oddibossity Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Today I finally couldn't resist it... The 8097 Slave 1. Normally (in Aus) it's $150 which is TOTALLY ridiculous but I found one in clearance for only $79.87 (peculiar price, but almost half!). I decided yes, even though the box had a large (possibly deliberate) gash in the front (hence the clearance, no doubt). I am strangely disappointed with its size. It just feels too BIG and BLOCKY, which I know is crazy since it's the awesome building medium of Lego, but I can't help my slight overall disappointment. I'll probably think of it better tomorrow after a good night's sleep (I was building/expanding/reassembling properly again [all in all, just playing] with it for upwards of four hour this afternoon so I probably just need some rest). Ogre Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 (edited) Received my free POTC poster from LEGO (#2,159 of 23,000) yesterday and my copies of "LEGO Harry Potter: Building the Magical World" (exclusive fig is Harry in formal attire, for those that didn't know), "LEGO Harry Potter Ultimate Sticker Collection" and "Escape from LEGO City" (sticker book). And currently waiting on some replacement parts due to some COMPLETE F***TARD messing with a set I was bought from Walmart! Wife bought me a copy of 7950 that was reduced in price...box had a bit of a dent on one end...no big deal, since she knows I don't keep the boxes. Went to open the set...it had been cut open, then taped shut again using double-sided tape, so you couldn't tell it had been messed with! Almost everything had been taken. Only a couple of 2x4s, 1x6s and a few other pieces were left. Walmart had no more, so I called LEGO and explained what happened. Those totally awesome folks are sending me my missing pieces! I've never had a bad experience with LEGO's customer service but, this was 'above and beyond' anything I ever expected. Two thumbs up, LEGO! Edited May 28, 2011 by Ogre Quote

I was (amazingly) lucky enough to win one of the surveys (you know, the one with the SCREAMING kid?) and I got a $100 (AUD) set- Anakin's Y-Wing Starfighter. I also desparately needed some replacement droid arms and 1x2 clip bars for my Hyena Droid Bomber because they all kept breaking! They were so quick and polite. Quote
CF Mitch Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Yesterday I ordered the Star Wars Republic Frigate set at Bol.com. Today it arrived Gonna build it tonight after dinner Regards, Mitch Quote
Legofan4ever88 Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 *looks at brickapedia* WOW! That's one sweet set CF Weazzel And as far as my "Plus I have plans of buying 5 hair pieces, 5 heads, 7 torsos, 7 pants, 6 flower stems(the ones that go w/ the flowers), a few lego series 4 figures, and I'm thinking about maybe a keychain from legoshop.com. I really wanted a max minifigure but I can't find one at a reasonable price on ebay. I would of said i was gonna said a max but I was in fear of a sudden buying rush. For now, I'll leave max on the chain. I'd rather have him on the chain and safe in my minifigure storage bin then risk ruining the figure. Quote

Stegoceras Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 While taking a gander in the shop at the new Star Wars summer-wave sets (which seem readily available everywhere I look now) my eye was caught by the Tie Defender with a discount (only 35 euros, not such a bad price considering the full retail was 50), Couldn't let that opportunity slip by and must say it looks great amongst his Tie-brethren on the shelf.
