Went to Meijer and found a great deal on:

6918 Blacksmith Attack

7066 Earth Defense HQ

The Alien Conquest set wasn't originally something I wanted, but at ~30% off retail, I went for it. Some neat pieces for MOC's! Same with Blacksmith Attack - it was discounted and contains a nice handful of fun and useful pieces!

I love end of year sales! Only spent $150

x2 City of Atlantis

Wow, wonderful haul! I'm curious about this set in particular...Are those white textured pieces hard to find? I've only seen them in that Atlantis set. I may try and find a good discount on one for all the nifty white pieces.

They are in white in a few sets, mostly Atlantis. If you can find the set on sale at TRU (which is where I went this morning, on sale at $42 with BOGO50% giving me extra discount) it is by far the best way to get ahold of these because there are 83 of them! The next highest concentration is in Diagon Alley but that's a $150 set. The City of Atlantis set has a lot of really good parts and some unique minifigures. The pearl gates are unique to this and only two other large Atlantis sets (neither of which I have seen on shelves in a while).

My younger brother is not good at keeping things as a surprise, so he already said that he got me 7641 City Corner for Christmas. He has no clue about Lego and he was really proud that he bought a nice set for me, so sweet!

30140 ADU Walker arrived in the post courtesy of the Sun newspaper & my fiancee also bought me 5 Series 6 minifigs

Ended up with 2x Surgeon, 1x Robot, 1x Space girl, 1x Roman.

The head stud on one of the surgeons is slightly oversized which means the hat won't fit!! :hmpf_bad:

Well my wife went to my mother's christmas church fayre yesterday and returned home with admittedly very well loved gaffa taped shut boxes of the above sets, 7786 Batman and Scarecrow Copter Biplane set & Riddler and Bane versus a bat-tank type thing. When opened I found everything was broken down, even the minifigs and the boxes were jam packed with loose lego, alas no instructions.

Ive found what I think are all the minifigs but I also appear to have Robin, different coloured batmen,Penguin and Mr Freeze. Who arent on any of the boxes. Judging by the sharp colour contrast in bricks I think the Robin scuba jet set may be in here but I wont know till I download all the instructions from lego and attempt to put them together. If only the boxes that come from lego were this full lol

I've a busy sunday with my kids ahead and my wife paid £25 for both boxes

I'm sorry but I'm confused - are you selling these sets or just telling us you bought something? If it's the latter, which seems probable, you may want to put this post in the appropriate what bargain I bought today thread.

I'm terming it a find, but if it should be moved to "What I Bought today" then I'm sure a moderator will and thanks to them in advance.

The sets are 3/4 years old and I'm aware of what they fetch on Bricklink, Ebay etc so I was surprised them turning up in such good condition for relative pennies. Not selling them

"Finds" are more referring to when you "find" a bargain that others can also buy. Such as 30% off at a certain store.
