Went to the LEGO store to try to get some sales. Not many good discounts. Got two copies of Ramses Pyramid for $4 each. Had some gift card money so bought two new Superhero sets - Catwoman and Superman. Also picked up Ninjago Venomari Shrine. Not bad, all in all, but was hoping for better discounts.

I wouldn't expect next year to be as extravagant. But I also didn't expect this year to be the way it was either.

LEGO stores are supposed to have everything listed online, but when I got to mine they only had 3 sets. The Catwoman, the Superman and the Batmobile sets. I think different LEGO stores will have different ones depending on what people like.

Went a bit nuts at the Cardiff lego store yesterday and picked up the new Star Wars planet sets (9674, 9675 and 9676), the new Y-wing (9495), a creator car (5867) and DC superhero sets 6862 and 6864 (the Superman/Wonderwoman/Luthor set and the Batmobile/Two-Face chase).

Really happy with all of them, but I have a quick question.

Did anyone else have missing parts issues with the new planet sets?

I had two missing parts from 9675 (Sebuba's Podracer) and I've had to get in touch with Lego to order replacements.

Kinda worrying as there aren't that many pieces in the set to start with.

Just wondering if I've been unlucky in picking up a duff set or if it's happened to anyone else.

At the NY Lego Store, bought one big PAB cup, the Winter Village Post Office and new Catwoman Catcycle City Chase. There was next to nothing on discount, no more Earth Defense HQ sets, and no Pharoah's Quest except for those silly coin banks. I was annoyed, since I had expected some clearance sales, but I know it's my own fault for not checking.

We did a little after Christmas shopping and found some good deals on clearance. Two days ago from lego S@H ordered a few discounted Duplo sets for the little one and the Winter Post Office (marked off 15$). They will arrive today according to FedEx.

Then last night at Target and Wal-Mart, found some goodies on sale. The 2260 Ice Dragon Attack, 7188 King's Carriage Ambush, 2x 7187 Escape from the Dragon's Prison, 8061 Gateway of the Squid, and 7956 Ewok Attack. All at 50% off!! It was a good day of shopping. Although, I am now sufficiently overwhelmed with Lego so I probably won't be buying any for quite a while. Or at least until the wife agrees to some more haha.

No Lego for christmas, But I picked up a secound NXT set along with plenty of other technic sets for quite a nice price

Also, I got a couple of plastic Drawer units yesterday with Christmas money, to try out better sorting. They seem pretty good, so I'm hopefully going to be getting a pile more of those when they get to a good price
