SilentMode Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Mill Village Raid was sold out online, but I was lucky to pick one up today at a Lego store, still discounted. (charlieboy - is that all? ) Quote
Larrynautik Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Today I ordered : Dino 2012 : 5885 Triceratops Trapper (I love the design of this vehicle - and the triceratops of course !) Friends : 3183 Stephanie’s Cool Convertible (This car is really fashion ) City 2012 : 4438 Robbers' Hideout (The bear ! The hideout ! The robbers' car ! ) 4437 Police Pursuit ( The dark red four-wheel drive vehicle is really cool ) 4435 Car and Camper (I never had a trailer in my city ! ) 4434 Dump Truck ( The red wheelbarrow is a must-have, and the truck is well designed in orange) 4433 Dirt Bike Transporter ( 2 bikes and an excellent SUV ! Perfect set ! ) 4431 Ambulance ( I like the ambulance, of course, but also the green bicycle, the street furniture and the 3 minifigs included !) 4208 Fire Truck (I appreciate the fact that the truck is also a little command center with space in it, and including a burning tree ) I had a 10% discount from my usual Lego retailer. I initially wanted to get some of the Star Wars 2012 sets but they are too expensive for the moment. Will see later for them. Quote
NiceMarmot Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Meteor Strike game at Target, on clearance for $10.99. Turns out to be a pretty good parts pack. Quote
nicoga3000 Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 So I went to the LEGO store and used my 10% off any item + $20 VIP credit and grabbed 10197 Fire Brigade. It was between that and the Mini Modular set, but I decided that Fire Brigade would go OOP sooner than any of the other sets I was considering. Good purchase at $122 after tax! Quote
cimddwc Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Bought something important: More transparent boxes for storage... Quote

Picked up Highlander, Robot, Surgeon, Bandit, Grey Alien. I am very impressed with them all. A few days ago, I picked up the Alien Conquest Mobile HQ (very excited to build it). TheLegoDr Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Last night we bought 2504-1 Spinjitzu Dojo on clearance at Target. I never wanted it before, but my wife showed me a few clearance sets, so I thought about it while we were in the store and decided to get it. It is still unopened. I'll have to think about it some more. I don't love Ninjago, but it has enough architectural detail to resemble Fire Temple without having to spend a fortune. The problem with clearance is I would buy sets that I normally wouldn't buy just because it is cheaper. I never would have considered it at full price. Oh well, I guess that is how Lego pulls you in! I never would have considered it at full price. Oh well, I guess that is how Lego pulls you in! Very much so. Bought the V Wing the other day and at its RRP that was a very poor set but at give or take half price and a couple of decent minifigs it justified the sale price. Today I bought another venorami shrine, this time thankfully with a better printed zane and Jays storm fighter. Its going to be an eclectic weekends building with the plane and the batcave Quote
