TheWarden Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Well, I took the plunge on most of my wants for the year. While there are tons of sets I want, I believe I'm only going to get some of the Superheroes line this year. So, at my local LEGO store I picked up: 6858 Catwoman Catcycle City Chase 6862 Superman™ vs. Power Armor Lex 6863 Batwing Battle Over Gotham City For the rare colors I also got: 4625 Pink Brick Box One of the last days for the promo I got for free: ? Kendo Jay Booster pack I'll get the Batmobile set when I next go in, if next month, there is a free poster with $35 purchase. I may pick up the Funhouse set if it comes back in stock and I may get the Spiderman, Wolverine and the cheap Ironman set if they turn out all interesting. That's all I'm planning for this year. LEGO Guy Bri Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 A good handful of BL orders, most small, in order to build a couple more cargo carts from 7734 Cargo Plane. I hate having to go through multiple sellers for a particular part but, no one has more than a few of the yellow technic base... Quote

KateB Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Ordered Harry Potter Hogwart's Castle from Tesco Direct after the great tip that it was £67! Couldn't resist as I've gone Harry Potter mad. Will be adding to my Hagrid's Hut that I got for Christmas and The Burrow which I treated to myself with vouchers (some of which were my husbands admittedly!) That will make 4 sets still to be built - should keep me busy :-) Quote
LEGOman273 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 So, I've started using eBay! What better way to buy Classic Pirate sets? Bricklink. Quote

ACWWgal2011 Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Found a bag of mixed lego bricks including 5 full figures plus one just missing legs at a kind of good wills store. After doing a little research on bricklink, i found out that for only 4 dollars, i was able to get the majority of the Troll mountain fortress set. All that appears to be missing is Troll Queen / Sorceress and a knight minifigures, the 2 troll figures, and a few minor pieces. I am thinking about rebuilding the set though when is a different question. Since i've posted this, i've been doing research on the figures i did get with the set and the ones i didn't. I wish that i did get all the figures with the set. Turns out that the 2 missing minifigures and the 2 trolls sell for an average off no less then 5.85 a piece on bricklink. As far as eBay, the 2 trolls, sorceress, and king all go for a nice chunk of change. Unless i get lucky and find said fugres at that good will store one day, there's no hope of me ever completing the set. Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Finally decided to buy 3182 Airport. Hopefully my last aviation set for a very long time Quote

Capt. Bluebeard Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 7066 Earth Defence HQ for an absolute steal at £37.48 from Tesco Direct! Now to find somewhere to put it... Bluebeard, out- Quote
just2good Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 It's not technically a buy, but I received 3833 Krusty Krab Adventures from a friend for letting him barrow my Gameboy Micro for sometime. The set itself isn't as bad as I thought it would be, and it may make me pick-up a few of the new Spongebob sets. Quote
