Grrr Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 A couple of MISB's today. 6031 for $10NZ And a 1858, 6004 and 6901 ($5 each). If anyone wants a copy of the later sets give me a yell - there are plenty were they came from. Quote
mutex Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 bought 6590; 6551, 6364 today Ha ! I remember the paramedic unit, what a great set it was. I had tons of fun with it back then. I think I still have it somewhere in my huge pile of ancient bricks. Now I must find some time to rebuild it. But before that I have a lot of stuff to do in my (real) house. House + kids = no time for bricks ;-) Quote
Asuka Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Does it come with a normal 8x8 tan plate instead of the grill plate? I read that it's now available again via S@H service... Unfortunately with the normal plates.... I guess I have to mail TLC Quote

Hobbes Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 A shameless double post, but I have to make a separate post because I got it! I got it! I finally got it! After 20+ years the wait is over: Today I won a MIB 7760 on ebay! I already won a 7823 from the same seller which arrived yesterday in absolute pristine condition. From the pics I have this little gem is in similar condition. I finally own the best train set ever made - I'm so happy :'-) :'-) :'-) :'-) Quote
Starwars4J Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Sorry, no picture from me, but congrats Hobbes :-P How much did it set you back? Quote
Hobbes Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Sorry, no picture from me, but congrats Hobbes :-P How much did it set you back? Well, "a bit" ;-) But less than a boxed version usually goes for. And I save on shipping because the guy offered to send it for free when I asked him if I could combine shipping for both sets if I won the 7760 and he had already sent the 7823 when he read the e-mail :'-) Quote
Starwars4J Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Ah, that was very nice of him! Will this baby stay in the box, or is her coming our party soon? X-D Quote
Hobbes Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Ah, that was very nice of him! Will this baby stay in the box, or is her coming our party soon? X-D Nah, it's not MISB, it'll do what it's meant to do: run around on my layout pulling waggons... for 30 seconds per day and then go back in the underground vacuum vault ;-) Quote
Holodoc Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Hey Hobbes - congrats on your very nice locomotive. *y* I just won an ebay auction to erase earlier mistakes. You know "I was young and needed some money..." :-| (Look at my "welcome-thread") I won the all-time-classic 928 for just a little money (I would have spent a lot more...) :'-) *wub* Now the '78 line is complete again and I will have to have a closer look to get the 6980 as well. What a nive day (save some of the fireworks for me, will you, Hobbes?) X-D Quote

I was very surprised to see they still had this one, considering it's from 2004, but it's a nice set if you're into collecting houses... like me... since... yesterday... X-D Quote

Lasse D Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Ordered the new Millennium falcon, and "Pick a brick" for a total of $848 a few days ago - it's fine. No PS3 for me this year! :-) Then I bought a 4939 yesterday. It has a lot of good bricks, although I'm not trilled with the picture on the front that makes it look as if it can steer. I also bought a 8828 crawler crane. It is a great set with top notch functionality and a lot of bricks But... I already had one! I bought a $45 ($80 actually, because I live in Denmark) set just because I thought it would be fun to have two and I needed some more of the long white bricks! :'-( I need rehab... seriously! Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 I need rehab... seriously! Loooooooooool, you really are not the only one :-D *yoda* Quote
Lasse D Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 you really are not the only one :-D That doesn't help :-P Hello everyone. My name is Lasse and I'm an addict. Today I will order some bricks over bricklink. I will have to see if I have made any progress since our last meeting. Quote
