Capt. Redblade Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 I actually bought this about two weeks ago, but haven't had time to post since I've been on vacation. So... 6860 The Batcave, 20% off the sticker price at the Toys R Us @ Capilano Mall in Vancouver. And... get ready for this... it wasn't marked up! Hooray! And two-ish days before that, I bought the 6863 Batwing Battle, 6858 Catwoman Cycle City Chase, and 6862 Power Armour Lex Luthor in one fell swoop. It's been a good month for this comic book geek. caperberry Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Went kookoo with the grab bag crate at a LEGO store yesterday, got most of a UCS Obi Wan Starfighter, City Park Cafe, Butterfly Beauty Shop and several 650pc bags of Friends' colours bricks and plates as well as ice cream scoops. Charged me £35 for 4,000 pieces :O), I reckon worth about £1,000 on Bricklink. Not that I'm selling them, I want to see what on earth I make from them! There was also a bag of 32-stud axles, 320 of them, from a Harry Potter wand-making store event. Hell knows what I will do with those, but it will be crazy! Quote
Legoman Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 My goodness! Nice haul with the grab bags, that sounds insane, Good on ya! Some nice parts in those, Let alone the joke of a price. Would love some pictures if you could be bothered If I ever go back to somewhere with a Lego store, I'll be making sure to buy lots of grab bags (When i went to the states I bought 14 - Still no regrets! ) Anyho, Amazon.Fr has put up some Insane deals on 8078 The Portal Of Atlantis, 8077 Atlantis exploration HQ, and Ramses' Pyrimid 3843, I I picked up 3 of each (The max they would let me - I would happily buy a few more 3843 at that price.. and mabye a couple more 8078). Postage to NZ admittedly does dampen the deal, but they still ended up over 65% off I'm not sure quite what I'll do with them, but I think them being so cheap could be the perfect chance to try out a Parts draft/Partsies type thing with my Local Lug Quote

Captain Becker Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 On Thursday, i went to our local market Prisma searching if there would be any Black Pearls, there was none, so i picked up one Isla de la Muerta set and 3 minifigs from Series 6, then i went to another market and picked up 10 Minifigs from series 5. And yestarday i went to Prisma again and picked one last Isla de la muerta when i noticed that they finally had that chrome gold, and it was on Clearence sale also. Its too bad that Black Pearl didnt show up on my town. Would have liked that ship so badly. Captain Becker Quote

charlieboy Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 This custom minifig game is going to bankrupt me! After my orders with Brickforge and Arealight a couple of days back I've just spent another small fortune with Brickwarriors and Bricklink! Hope the wife doesn't read this! Quote
K-Nut Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 The Lloyd Garmadon booster pack. Not bad for what you get, though I'd like to see another weapon in there. Quote

sharky Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Yesterday, I finished out the specific Series 6 CMF that my daughter wanted. I'll surpise her with a nice reward for getting good grades. She wanted: Leprechaun, Butcher, Sleepyhead, Genie, Surgeon, and the Statue of Liberty. I ended up getting her the Clockwork Robot as well, but I was mistaken as I thought she wanted that one. Still, I'm sure she'll enjoy playing with it. It's kinda of fun to see her open each one not knowing what it'll be. I told her how I figure it out, but she still seems to be amazed at how I can determine what's inside. I guess I'll still be a her hero a bit longer. Now all I need is to army build the Classic Alien a bit more, and I'll be ready for Sereis 7. Quote
