CMP Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 I bet you cried that sucks man. Oh well, it only just came out. I'm not really upset about it, I would've had to wait another week or so to get Shelob. In any case, I'm just glad they were in stock. I could see the price tag and everything for Helm's Deep, so I at least know it'll be available at some point. Quote
adventuresinlego Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Tomorrow I'm going to pick up a lay by that has about $150 worth of Lego sets! I can't find the lay-by docket but in it is... Superheroes - Catwoman City Cycle $23.84 Friends Andreas Stage - $14.95 - Pet Patrol $14.95 - Outdoor Bakery $8.83 and the one I'm looking forward to; Atalantis - City of Atlantis $70 - marked down from about $110-$120 Does anyone have these sets? I look forward to the 80+ grooved column pieces in the City of Atlantis as that is a lot to have of one brick type. I can get the Catwoman set online for $19.30 with free postage so I'm thinking of cancelling that order and buying it online... hmmm Should I? It'll take about 2 weeks to get here knowing Fishpond... or I can get it for $27 on ebay hahaha - ridiculous but I won't go there, gurlfran... Some of the friends sets I can get online for cheaper but if I worry about that then it will ruin my lego haul tomorrow, decisions decisions! Anyone else doing a Haul this week? Quote
PocasNuckie Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 All 50% off. (78.5€ for everything) Cheers. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Nice haul! I would not think about prices and just be happy with what you are getting. Some good figures/pieces there that should be fun to play with, er, I mean build. We have the Catwoman set and the Friends sets. My daughter loves all of them and has lots of fun with them. The City of Atlantis was on sale here not too long ago, but I didn't bite. Not enough of things I want, but it looks like a nice parts pack/set if you're into that theme. We just picked up all of the Lord of the Rings sets within the last week, so I won't be doing another haul until September when the new CMF come out. Most of my spending was done the first few weeks of May for the promotions. Have fun with your haul! Quote

sologuy369 Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 (edited) Bought the Forbidden Forest, Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape and POTC isle de muarta! Were all out of Hulk but I'm taking care of that! TLC has really good customer service! Edited May 31, 2012 by sologuy369 Quote
adventuresinlego Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 All 50% off. (78.5€ for everything) Cheers. Holy mother of Lego, am dead jelly haha - We have the Ninjago jet fighter, was $23 at Big W, not sure if that's a good price, but I really like the set myself (plus I'm sure kids would have fun with it) so I felt good about that buy - But the elastic band has mysteriously disappeared from my "box of things to keep safe" (dresses, stickers, string etc) So that's odd, but all the same, EXCELLENT haul! Nice haul! I would not think about prices and just be happy with what you are getting. Some good figures/pieces there that should be fun to play with, er, I mean build. Single parent, watching prices is my day job haha - The City of Atlantis doesn't look as epic as the Portal of Atlantis ($70 also, total bargin for Oz!) but the 5 minifigs are great, plus has some new-for-us pieces so I'm confident this was a good buy also haha This belongs in the 'What I Bought Today' thread in Community. Merging.... No wokkas, I'm only new so haven't learned how to ... 'play the game' yet :) Bought the Forbidden Forest, Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape and POTC isle de muarta! Were all out of Hulk but I'm taking care of that! TLC has really good customer service! We have the Forbidden Forest, or should I say the Forbidden Tree... It was one of the first sets I bought and because I didn't really know what I was doing with looking for Lego bargins, I think I may have been thoroughly overcharged for it, never mind, it has the Narcissa Malfoy minifig and as soon as I get Quidditch and/or Hogwarts Express then I shall have all 3 Malfoys, woohoo! BUT, Along with my aforementioned purchases, I also bought $24 worth of Series 7 minifigs - in which we got 3 repeats (Hippie, Daredevil and Aztec) but got 2 new ones; the Bride (she's expensive on her own on ebay!) and the Bagpiper (woohoo!) PLUS when I got home, there was 2 more minifigs in the mail from ebay- Ice Skater from series 4 and Han Solo with Hoth hoodie jacket thing (whcih isn't as rare as I hoped haha but was only 99c) OOOH and I also lay-byed the Kingdoms Mill which comes with about 5 minifigs and plenty of animals (we'll have a zoo soon) and that was $78 - which is about $10 more than the USA RRP and has about 630 pieces so I'm deffo pleased witht hat buy, though I would've liked it have been a bit cheaper, but not complaining at a 12c or so a piece ratio. So today, we added 17 more Minifigs to our growing army, should get more in the mail tomorrow... Will have to post a photo of them on here one day :) But YYAAAYYYY lego haul! All I've built so far is the Bakery set, which has an awesome sauce printed piece, will make the rest of them slowly over the next week or so :) Quote
KateB Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 3061 Friends City Park Cafe, 3188 Friends Heartlake Vet and 3936 Friends Emma's Fashion Design Studio. Got them all cheaper than RRP from Amazon/ebay, score! I've gone Friends mad; at 35 years old my dormant girly gene has finally kicked in Quote

I've gone Friends mad; at 35 years old my dormant girly gene has finally kicked in There's a bit toooo much pink for my liking, but there's enough other interesting colours and cool unique pieces that I dig them also haha - Of course the big gripe being the minidolls, but Andrea comes with cool hair that looks good on other minifigs. feuerbogen Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Desert Skiff in the Myer's 20% off sale. I must say that there are some totally awesome minifigs in this set Quote

Yesterday I also bought Star Wars' Republic Striker Fighter and today the Fury-class Interceptor Now all I'd like is the Desert Skiff and then I really need to quit Regards, Mitch Quote
