How would they know what an Alien would look like? You don't!

They could look like that or anything else!

So that's why I like them, they look alienish and are pretty cool

However they aren't the coolest and could be improved a lot

I finally bought the Sail Barge. Had a 20% off coupon for TRU. It was the oldest set that I didn't have. I was REALLY tempted by the Republic Cruiser sitting on the shelf, in all its glorious red tones. I can't afford to get both at once, so I will just keep an eye out and get the RC next time there is another coupon sale.

hehe, good buy. i also used coupons to buy a sail barge. i was kinda surprised to find the store selling because it went for 6mths without the isd and sail barge. i got a better deal though coz i have a $5 coupon as well as a 20% coupon. wanted to get a HP castle but none of those nearby carried the HP castle. :-P

i was also able to use the 20% on an mtt set. didn't get to use the $5 coupon because this was earlier in the week. the $5 was only for 3 days. :-P

I built my ILC last night. Good set, definitely worth the clearance price of $25 I paid for it a few weeks ago.

I just bought a second hand copy of set nr 4549 in dusty but very good condition, it looks like the set has never been disassembled so after a little cleaning it will look as new again. It has all stickers, perfect instruction booklet and the front and back cover of the original box

40 euros, so really cheap, on BL it will set you back a fortune...

A fellow collector buddy found it at a local WalMart. Apparently the shelf price on it was a $40 clearance price, but this one had a couple of tags on it that said $25. So, he grabbed it for that price and sold it to me. I don't know if I would ever have purchased this set at $50 or $40, but I had to bite on 1/2 of MSRP.

On Monday I got the Skeleton Tower and round the middle of September, maybe earlier I'll be getting Skeleton's Prison Carriage. Nothing really new, but it helps complete my Castle collection. :-D I'm planning on getting some Crossbow Attack's with money saved up, then again I should start saving for Dwarfs Mining. It stares at me every time I open the catalogue. X-D

Picked up the star wars sets 7660, 7661, 7662 (widely available in Target/Walmart) and 7663 (legoland California) and Hoth Base and Republic Cruiser (Lego Anaheim). I also got the bat copter and bat tanksets and some of the new city sets. In the racers line I got bullet run. In the meantime my complete castle collection arrived from LS@H. Now to pay off the credit card!!

Well, I didn't buy these Lego today, but I just got done counting the pieces from these purchases last night. There was a community yard sale in a nearby town earlier this month, and I picked up some Lego at a few places. For about $42 I got 9,983 total pieces, and 116 minifigs. I also got a few out of the ordinary things, like the silver brick from the 25th anniversary set, and a kid-sized work table.

Anyway, I bought it off some people who gave up putting the set together after buying it for their 9 (!) year old son last year. It is complete, the parts are sorted by color by the seller and it came with unused stickersheet. Box and instructions included, of course, and even six batteries.

All this for just 75 euro's. :-)

Great find. Very optimistic parents. 8-| I paid full price for mine at S@H as it never turned up down here at all, and I still think it was worth it. I found it slightly on sale six months later.

Finally broke down and ordered Cafe Corner, so I had to find some stuff to round out the order. A street sweeper, an airplane mechanic (shh, he could be having lunch), an Emperor Palpatine keychain (um... shush), a half price Ludo set (they're city people!), that somewhat lame cops/robbers tic-tac-toe set cheap. Some pick-a-brick for my impending City project entry (I'm still waiting for 2 bricklink orders and one from eBay for that anyway).

Was going to order Market Street, but it's backordered until October. Guess I'll wait for the new SW magnet to show up on S@H and order them together.

All in all, a good day.

And I don't know about those Mars sets Sinner, but I read a suggestion somewhere to use the orange wheels as space barrels, and that might sell me on a couple. I despise those blob aliens though. They look pre-whacked or something! *n*
