Just watched Clone Wars I+II for the first time and I felt I needed a General Grievous Fig. Bricklinked and eBayed for him, but he was pretty expensive, so I just bought:

7656 General Grievous Starfighter

Nearly same prices, but comes with 250+ more pieces. :-D Now I need a cape for him.

7992 Container Stacker, about 25% off. I've been eying off this set all year and the wait paid off. This set puts my Peeron total at over 50,000. *sweet* (I have around 5,000 extra parts that aren't easily listable.)

Yes, I did the same thing! I put a red viking cape on mine as I think he looks odd capeless. I am considering Bricklinking the real one though.

Yes, I noticed that. It is a mistake. They probably added Grevious as a unit.

Was going to order a few clearance things as well, nothing I particularly wanted, but when I put in the free US shipping coupon code, it wouldn't let me have the sale prices as well, and I sure wasn't paying full price for that crap.

I got Toa Mahri Hewkii yesterday. For the first time in a long time, I must give to a set the mark of "Hopeless". I built it, I posed it for a few minutes, and, dissatisfied with the result, I tried to revamp the model. After a few designs, I destroyed everything.

This has to be the worst designed Bionicle set I've ever had the chance to build. He looks incomplete, he's way too short, the proportions are off even for a Bionicle model (he looks like a mutant monkey!), there are some parts that do really make someone raise an eyebrow (mace halves as thigh guards?), there are lots of ANNOYING RED PIECES...in other words a total mess.

Nice pieces, however: yelloworange Piraka body, yelloworange Piraka arm, new shoulder blades, two maces halves (finally got the chance to make my own chained mace *sweet* ), nice aqua warblade, black Inika spiky feet, and the Garai, which is a pretty cool mask (the main reason I wanted this set).

So now Hewkii is destroyed, all his parts have been sorted and will probably be used on a MOC, or maybe not. Sigh, he had so much potential.
