Hewman Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 a whole heap of flesh heads and hands to convert my various old yellow head star wars minifigs into modern flesh tones. With all the new licenses I was able to get a great range of heads for my Hoth rebels and pilots and navigators of my various snowspeeders. Quote
ExoBuilder Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 I just recieved the 7621 Indiana Jones™ and the Lost Tomb, I'm happy! Quote
Tarfful Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Well to some up the last week or so... I got the MTT for my Birthday, I was so happy. Bought: x2 4918 Mini Flyers, a great set, and x1 4994 Fierce Creatures, mainly for parts. And tomorrow I plan to get some more 7618s, some Clone BPs, and maybe another AT-AP podwalker. -Tarfful Quote

Alice Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 (edited) I took this week for vacation so besides actually taking vacation, it is my mission to build up my very own collection. Right now, I'm trying to find some decent deals on sets just to build up spare parts and maybe get a cool set as well. Today I bought: 6163 - The bigger mosaic set 8702 - Knight's Kingdom Lord Vladek 8100 - ExoForce Cyclone Defender Really the only one that thrills me at this point is the mosaic, but the others look like they have some decent parts in them. I also experienced my first lego moment with the "normals" of the world. Cashier: Is this for your son? Me: No. Cashier: Oh, I was going to say.. he is going to be very happy. Me: *laughs* Also, I put together my first Paradisa set (6405-1). I am in love and addicted. Edited April 18, 2008 by Alice Quote
UniqueBuilder Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Welcome to the Dark Side, Alice.... I put in 3 BL orders on my first day with a PayPal account today, totalling almost $100! Can't wait to get 'em home here... Quote
Siegfried Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 On topic, I just ordered the 6211 Imperial Star Destroyer and some squid ammo off S@H. For my daughter I ordered 7583 Playful Puppy and 7586 Sunshine Home. I'm sure she wont mind if I borrow some pieces from time to time... X-D It's arrived! I really want to assemble "Sunshine Home"... I may have to give it to her early! Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 I bought two of Star Wars set 7670. Man, what a bargain for only 20 bucks each. The brown tank treads (80 link pieces!!!) are the best part, but the rest is quite nice too. You get 2 big, clear shields. 3 of the new Battle Droid guns. 1 brown turret ball. 4 of those gas pump-lookin' parts that can double as minifig guns. ...and the second best thing, 8 of those mecha fingers in brown. I'm not a fan of brown, but these will surely lead to a very cool brown moc. Quote

trooperdavinfelth Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Well, just yesterday my brother found all four of the Indy sets(and got them all) in a Wal-mart and found all four Speed Racer sets in a Target(and got three). Quote
brickchic Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 This week I got Police Station 7744 and Indy race to the treasure(?? too lazy to look up proper name and number) set in a sale at Myer. Quote
xwingyoda Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Yeay I finally can drive a bit and drove to TRU for nothing, to Cora (where Alex found the new Indy sets) for nothing again so I went to my Lego shop and bought: * the 2 new Spongebob yeay !! (Sandy's rocket and bus) * Speed racer set 8159 for parts !! Now I can finish my Hot rod entry !! Quote
WhiteFang Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 A green base plate (32 studs x 32 studs) Hehe, for my expansion. And a 7772 Aqua Raiders (Lobster), got it for 50%. Quote
Holodoc Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Got the new 50 anniversary (related to the 2x4 brick) Lego book today. This is an outstanding book! It tells the story of TLC (so nothing new here ), but it also offers a lot reprints from old catalogs, adverts and the 1958 patent. Something I did not expect in a book. And if you´re done reading you can just start building - there are 6 red 2x4 bricks attached to the cover. Tell me whenever you´re finished with all 915.103.765 possibilities of putting them together. I´m sorry to tell you but I fear this book is published in german only. It´s 'just' 29,90€, so start to learn german and buy it! Quote
Natman8000 Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 I purchased another Imperial drop ship. I was at kmart and could not make up my mind. Assualt tiger (I think its called that, the new yellow exo force mecha) or this? I am happy I made the right choice. Quote
Nikola Bathory Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Oh yes, I bought 7090: Crossbow Attack My first skeleton! (and even a skeleton horse! Quote

Where did you manage to buy this book? Some store? It is not yet available from Amazon. I'd love to read it and I am quite able to, as my German is presumably better than your Dutch.... Quote
The Bricksmith Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Well good news and bad news. my order from lego.com arrived with an extra doc and patient thrown in which was cool. but then i went down to Wally world and found the new indy sets out and went to the check out and nothing... the register said no sale for all three sets. even after there was a huge display of them in the middle of the aisle and everything. so undaunted i went to another wal mart and the same thing happened. i could not believe it. both stores had the sets out and displayed but you could not buy them. talk about frustrating. so i will never shop at wally world again, i will just have to be calm and wait till TRU or some where else stocks them. Quote
Fluyt Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Just bought 6259 - Broadside's brig twice, both without instructions. But they where just 7,76 euro's each incl. shipping, and seeing the bricklink prices for the set (and for imperial soldiers) I think I did ok. Now I'll just wait untill they ship, hopefully they'll be in good condition. Quote

Kom mar lekker gezellig even langs an wij gaan dit samen kopen. Ik denk, dat dit wel voldoende zal zijn. For all others: Bla, bla, bla and a bit of neighbour teasing. Quote
