Because he was dead. I think LEGO didn't want to be distasteful and throw in a dead or even still alive Cedirc and then say "Can Harry and Cedric stop Voldemort?" It just wouldn't have made sense.

I guess so. :sceptic: I still wish they could have put him in. As for Cho, the more I think about it the more it makes no sense to make a minifig of her.

She doesn't have any action scenes, and I guess could be MOCed easily.

I don't think Harry (Daniel) would quite agree with that statement...

I agree, Cho was the love interest of Harry in Goblet and Order. In OotP movie, she is the one who ratted out Dumbledore's Army. If LEGO was just going to include "action" characters, they missed out on the Triwizard contestants, Slughorn, Fred and George, plus many more.

I meant fight scenes. I really doubt LEGO would make a set of that scene.

Maybe the scene from the OotP movie where Cho turned the D.A in would work? :sceptic:

Good point. :sceptic:

Hey, does anyone know how long it takes for LEGO to make new sets? I was just wondering because Deathly Hallows Part 2 comes out in July 2011, so I think that is enough time for them to make new sets to go with Deathly Hallows. Or they could make sets when the second LEGO game comes out.

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was at least a year, if not longer (from design to development). It really depends on wheter or not Lego is waiting to see how the six sets coming out this year sell. If they are, then I don't think they'd have enough time to fully develop and produce another wave of sets in time for DH part 2. If they aren't, they could already be in the process of designing another wave of sets. It's definitely a wait and see situation.

Most likely I think they are waiting to see how these new sets sell, since poor sales was one of the main reasons they only made one OotP set, and didn't make any HBP sets. Then if they sell well enough we'll probalby see another wave of sets released about the same time as the second video game.

(It's still beyond me why Cedric wasn't included in the Graveyard Duel set)

But he was! Didn't you see the skeletons scattered around the set?

I'd say it would be dependent on what kind of contract Lego has with WB to make toys for that movie. It's possible that Lego is only contracted for the first release and thus whatever sets were annouced would be it, but it could be that they are in for both parts of the movie. In the latter case, Lego should already have enough of the process in motion that they can have something to coincide with the 2011 release.

Maybe they already do have plans for the 2 Deathly Hallows movie sets and we just haven't heard anything yet...

*fingers crossed*

That'd be actually somewhat believable, what with how well they kept these sets under wraps. Not necessarily likely, but still it wouldn't come as a great surprise if LEGO did make a Big Announcement to that effect.

New LEGO game trailer! POA!!

Awesome! New Sirius dog mold and a Whomping Willow battle! I like how the Knight Bus rebuilds to go through the London buses, but it's a shame they're using the old dementors.

Yeah, I hope they fix the dementor problem because their hood and robes are different colors. Also there are no robes when Harry is defending Sirius. I wish they released a Whomping Willow with one of the new sets, maybe Hagrid's Hut.

New LEGO game trailer! POA!!

Awesome! This game is looking better and better. I'm not sure it it's been brought up before, but the wands in the trailer certainly look like they're 3L, like the new ones in the Collectable Minifigs line. I might imagine they could put them is the actual sets too.

I also hope they give us some DH sets. Think of the options! Personally, I would love to see a Gringotts vault, with lots of treasure.

It's possible that a Time-turner can be put in a later set, since it's so large in the game*.(most likely it would have a spinning center) If Lego were to make dogs 1x_, their heads would be too big, but if they were 2x_ then their legs would be too far apart  .

*and when attached to a staff, it can show IJ where the Well of Souls is(Staff of Ra  )

New LEGO game trailer! POA!!

I was wandering when they would release the PoA themed trailer. The game is looking quite good. Would be cool if we finally got Lego set of the Womping Willow, and that new dog design looks quite good. The time-turner is quite interesting too, and would be interesting, imo, to see made for an actual set. It's a little odd seeing them use the old style for the Dementors, but oh well. Can't wait to see the GoF themed trailer and my favorite minifigure in motion (Moody). There's really only one bad thing about this game, imo at the very least, and that's the fact that it isn't coming out for PS2. I don't own any of the newer video game systems, and would rather not get it for my computer. Who know, this year might be the year I finally get a new gaming system (I'm thinking a DS or a Wii).

Looking at the six new sets, it looks as though almost all of them will be coming with at least one owl. Which is a good thing, as I really like the new design for them. The Freeing Dobby set is the only one that doesn't look like it will. Though the Quidditch Match set only appears to have one on the box sample, so it might not have one either (the actual set on display doesn't look like it has one). Hagrid's Hut and Burrow sets have at least one each, the train has three, and the castle hast at least two.

They don't just use the old style for Dementors; they use the old style for everything. Which is really a pity, as I like a lot of the new stuff such as the Ford Anglia. But I suppose the game was probably already pretty far in development at the time that the new sets were finalized.

I wonder if that is the same sand blue torso in the new Hogwarts as the Goblet of Fire Dumbledore:

As cool as the game looks, I'm waiting until they (TT) releases all 7 years in one shot...

(Forgive me for my late reply, but I have been retired from world of Lego for several months) Wow... they've brought it back from the gave... Yay!

Dobby's Release

Can't say it's brilliant, I'm glad I got the first one as I feel it looks better. Lucious Malfoy looks better though, as does Dobby's new head.

Hagrids Hut

Looks like a step back, for both Hagrids Hut and Aragog. There is nothing bad with the hut, persay, but we've had better. The first Aragog just looked more Arachnid-like.

Quidditch Practise

Two cool new figures (didn't think we'd ever see a Marcus Flint or Oliver Wood!). Seems like a reasonable amount of figures for a set of that size, too!

Hogwarts Express

Good to get a Luna figure, but I would've preferred a normal Ravenclaw uniform. This is the forth Hogwarts Express we've ever had, and there has never been a big enough change to merit buying another one.

The Burrow

Alas, the only original set, but this is brilliantly packed with new figures. Aurther, Molly, Fenir, Bellatrix, a more accurate Ginny, and a great new building!

Hogwarts Castle

Several great new figures, Filtch and best of all, FLITWICK! Never thought we'd see one of them. The castle looks great in itself, and all round is probably on of the more better sets in this wave.

The main color definitely looks the same, but the printing looks like it could be different.

Dumbledoreclose-up.jpg

It's hard to see, but the printing on the left there (Dumbledore's right hand side), looks different, to me at least. It looks like it has some white/light gray wavy lines, or something. Speaking of Dumbledore, I like the color of the wand he's holding (would also work for Hermione's wand, imo). Same goes for all the other wands in these sets. It's finally nice to see some variation int he colors. It's laying on the floor in Dumbledore's office, but you can clearly see that Voldemort is getting a white wand for this set (it was black in the Graveyard Duel set).

One thing I find interesting is that the Harry Potter Hogwarts game (the Lego board-game thing) appears to come with a dark brown cat (presumably McGonagall). I'm considering using it as Mrs. Norris, and then using the Mrs. Norris that comes with the castle as Crookshanks.

As cool as the game looks, I'm waiting until they (TT) releases all 7 years in one shot...

Good point. They did it with Lego Star Wars I & II, so it would make sense they would do it with Harry Potter.

There was a video for POA with the new Draco hair, and my geuss on why TT hasn't used other new designs is just to go along with the movies.
